The 2025 Sony Open features a field of 156 golfers. This event will have a traditional cut upon the completion of two rounds. The top 65 and ties will make the cut.

2025 Sony Open Draftkings Picks

Hideki Matsuyama $11,000

The 2021 Masters champion arrives at this week’s tournament on the heels of three consecutive top 16 finishes (PGA and Japan Tours combined), including a win at last week’s 2025 Sentry.

Due to Hideki Matsuyama’s impressive win at the 2025 Sentry I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the event to see how Matsuyama fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 Sentry, in relation to the field, Hideki Matsuyama ranked fourth in GIR (greens in regulation-87.5%), seventh in driving accuracy (75%), second in putting average (1.556) first in total birdies made (33) and first in bogey avoidance (2).

Additionally, Hideki Matsuyama has posted a quality result at the Waialae Country Club in the past. More specifically, Matsuyama won the 2021 Sony Open.

Corey Conners $10,200

The talented Canadian has accumulated three top seven finishes in his last four events played (PGA and DP World Tours combined), including a sixth-place result at the 2024 Nedbank Challenge four weeks ago.

I fully expect Corey Conners to continue his outstanding play in Hawaii this week.

Si Woo Kim $9,000

Since the beginning of April, Si Woo Kim has played 18 tournaments (PGA and DP World Tours combined). In those 18 events just mentioned, Kim has accumulated ten top 30 finishes, including an impressive sixth place result at the 2024 ZOZO Championship in October.

Harry Hall $8,100

Harry Hall has tallied four top 14 finishes in his last five events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2025 Sentry last week.

Sepp Straka $8,000

Sepp Straka has compiled three top 13 finishes in his last seven events played (PGA and DP World Tours combined), including a ninth-place result at the Hero World Challenge last month.

It is noteworthy that Straka has posted a good result at the Sony Open previously. Straka finished 25th at the 2021 Sony Open.
