What a Falloff for Penn State

Penn State just keeps falling off and they just keep losing games. Two games ago against USC, they lost 92-67 and in the last game against Washington, they lost 75-73. At halftime against Washington, they were winning, but in the second half, they gave up 41 points, and that led to the defeat. Adrian Baldwin Jr put up 20 points, eight assists, and two rebounds. Penn State shot 40.3 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from behind the three-point line. Penn State needs to play a more complete game. 

Penn State currently sits with a 13-13 record overall and they have gone 11-15 against the spread. Penn State is averaging 79.5 points while their defense is giving up 73.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 58th in the league while the defense is ranked 240th in the league. Ace Baldwin Jr has been the top player for Penn State averaging 14 points while shooting 37.5 percent from the field. 

Can Nebraska Win a Second Straight Game?

Nebraska has been a little inconsistent the last couple of weeks, but they are coming off a big victory in the last game. Nebraska scored 68 points against Northwestern and that was enough for the four-point victory. Brice Williams had a strong game putting up 21 points, four rebounds, and four assists. There were three different players that put up at least 12 points. Two games ago against Maryland at home, they didn’t play well enough the defense gave up 83 points on the way to the defeat. 

Nebraska has a 17-9 overall record and is 15-11 against the spread. Away from home this season, Nebraska has a 4-5 overall record. Nebraska’s offense is averaging 75.8 points, while its defense is giving up 71.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 131st in the league, while its defense is ranked 174th. Brice Williams is averaging 19.5 points while shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 35 percent from behind the three-point line. Nebraska will face Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, and Iowa following this one.

Nebraska Cornhuskers Betting Preview

The Cornhuskers had a bad stretch of losses amid some tough matchups in January, but overall they’re doing pretty well record-wise outside of that run. Nebraska opened with 12 wins in their first 14 games, losing to only Saint Mary’s and Michigan State amid wins over UT Rio Grande Valley, Bethune-Cookman, Fairleigh Dickinson, Creighton, South Dakota, North Florida, Indiana, Murray State, Hawaii, Oregon State, Southern, and UCLA. A losing streak came next versus Iowa, Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, USC, and Wisconsin, but Nebraska would pick it up against Illinois, Oregon, Washington, and Ohio State in the next quartet prior to another loss to Maryland. All in all that gives the Cornhuskers a 16-9 record through 25 games this year.

On Thursday in the Maryland game, the Cornhuskers kicked off with a 42-35 deficit in the first half. Nebraska didn’t end up getting any closer on a 41-40 run from there and took the loss in the end 83-75. Juwan Gary led the team in scoring with 22 points and two rebounds in 38 minutes during the losing effort. Brice Williams added 20 points with three assists and two rebounds, while Andrew Morgan had 15 points with three rebounds and three assists.

Northwestern Wildcats Betting Preview

Over on the Northwestern side, they got off to a pretty good start themselves but they’ve faltered in the 2025 calendar year amid some tricky opponents in the Big Ten. The Wildcats took out Lehigh, UIC, Eastern Illinois, Montana State, Pepperdine, UNLV, Illinois, Georgia Tech, DePaul, and Northeastern during a 10-3 opening run, falling to Dayton, Butler and Iowa otherwise in that time. Since then Northwestern has beaten only Maryland, Indiana, and USC. Otherwise, it’s been losses to Penn State, Purdue, Michigan State, Michigan, Illinois, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Washington and Oregon. That gives the Wildcats a 13-12 record across their first 25 games so far this season.

Matched up against Oregon on Tuesday, the Wildcats were outpaced 39-25 in the first half. Northwestern got better from there on a 50-42 advantage but still lost 81-75 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Ty Berry with 23 points and two rebounds. KJ Windham led the bench scoring 20 points, three assists, and two rebounds in 27 minutes on the court, while Nick Martinelli added 16 points with six boards and two assists in 39 minutes.

Northwestern vs Nebraska Prediction

I’ll stay with Nebraska. The Cornhuskers could use a good bounce-back effort after a rough home loss versus Maryland, and this is a promising spot to get it. Nebraska gave up 58.5 percent shooting to the Terrapins in that defeat and got outmuscled on the boards pretty badly 34-22. The shooting wasn’t too bad otherwise (43.1 percent) but the 10 turnovers for 11 Maryland points didn’t help. Still, Nebraska continues their run of solid scoring with 75 or more points in five straight—and they’ve won four of those five games.

As for Northwestern, they’ll be glad to get back home after a tough road loss to Oregon. The Wildcats shot well in that one (51.7 percent) but lost the battle on the boards 33-27 and had 11 turnovers for an opportunistic 18 points for the Ducks. Northwestern is scoring well themselves lately with 69 or more points in nine straight. The trouble is, the Wildcats have given up 75 or more points in six straight as well. Nebraska shouldn’t have a hard time posting a high total in this one, even on the road. If the Wildcats play well I think they’ll be able to follow along for most of the game. With the Cornhuskers being a better team though, I like Nebraska to power it out in the end.

Maryland Terrapins Betting Preview

The Maryland Terrapins are 18-6 (8-5) this season after they defeated Rutgers by a score of 90-81 in their last game. Maryland led 49-38 at halftime and they were able to get the win, despite being outscored 43-41 in the second half. Derik Queen is averaging 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, while Ja’Kobi Gillespie is averaging 14.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game this year. Maryland is shooting 48% from the field, 73.8% on free throws, and 36.8% on three pointers this season. 

Why Nebraska will beat Maryland

The Terrapins are 2-4 in their last six road games and one of those wins came by just one point against Indiana, so they have had issues away from home. Maryland is shooting 48% from the field this year and they are scoring 82.8 points per game. Nebraska has won four games in a row and they have scored at least 77 points in each of those four games. The Cornhuskers are shooting 46.1% from the field this year and they are scoring over 76 points per game. Both teams come into this game playing very well, but I don’t trust Maryland on the road. Take Nebraska to win.

Ohio State has been super inconsistent as of late, and they need a win here. Over the last three games, Ohio State has picked up two wins and they are coming off a victory in the last game. Ohio State faced off against Maryland, and they were down big at halftime, but they fought back in the second half and were able to pick up the win. Ohio State shot 45.8 percent from the field but only 25 percent from deep. Bruce Thorton put up 31 points, six assists, and five rebounds. Two games ago against Illinois the defense wasn’t good enough and they ended up losing 87-79. 

Ohio State sits with a 14-9 record overall and they have gone 14-9 against the spread. Ohio State is averaging 79.7 points while their defense is giving up 71.3 points per game. They can run up the score, but their defense has been a problem a lot this season. They need the defense to be a whole lot better here. Bruce Thorton is averaging 17.7 points while shooting 52 percent from the field.

I expect this is going to be a very competitive game and I don’t have a play one way or the other, but I do have a strong play on the total. Both teams have playmakers all over the court, and both teams will score plenty of points. Ohio State is averaging 7.7 points per game and they are going to get out to a fast start. Nebraska is going to keep up with their offense, and this game will be a shootout. This game is going to go over at least 150 points.

Nebraska Cornhuskers Betting Preview

The Cornhuskers were looking great as the year flipped over to 2025, but since then they’ve had some troubles in the record column amid a tough Big Ten schedule. Nebraska won 12 of their first 14 games, losing to only Saint Mary’s and Michigan State amid wins over UTRGV, Bethune-Cookman, Fairleigh Dickinson, Creighton, South Dakota, North Florida, Indiana, Murray State, Hawaii, Oregon State, Southern, and UCLA in that time. The Cornhuskers would hit the skids over the next six games though, falling to Iowa, Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, USC, and Wisconsin in that time. Nebraska has since stopped the bleeding, however, taking out Illinois and Oregon in their last pair for a 14-8 overall record through the first 22 games so far.

In the Oregon matchup on Sunday, the Cornhuskers came out of the break with a 34-28 advantage. Nebraska kept the pace from there on a 43-43 run and took the road victory 77-17 in impressive fashion. Leading team scorer Brice Williams posted 28 points with seven rebounds and six assists. Juwan Gary added 23 points with five rebounds, while Rollie Worster came off the bench for 11 points, three rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes of action.

Washington Huskies Betting Preview

Over on the Huskies’ side, they’ve had a couple of good runs in the books so far this year but have barely managed to keep their heads above the .500 mark overall. Washington won six of their first seven games though, losing to Nevada amid wins over UC Davis, Seattle Pacific, UMass Lowell, Alcorn State, Colorado State, and Santa Clara. A 4-3 run came next with losses to UCLA, USC, and Seattle U amid wins over Eastern Washington, Washington State, NJIT, and Maryland. Following more losses to Illinois, Michigan State, Michigan, Purdue, Oregon, and UCLA, the Huskies managed a win over Minnesota for an 11-10 overall record this year.

Matched up against Minnesota on Saturday, the Huskies were in good shape after the first half sporting a 40-30 edge. Washington was outscored 38-31 the rest of the way in a 71-68 win. Tyler Harris was the team’s leading scorer with 23 points and four rebounds. Great Osobor added 16 points with 10 rebounds, two assists and three steals. Zoom Diallo added 11 points with four rebounds and five assists off the bench in 30 minutes of work, while Mekhi Mason chipped in 23 points and four rebounds.

Washington vs Nebraska Prediction

I’ll stick with Nebraska. Probably not touching this one, though. It seems like it’s more in coin-flip territory than anything. That said, Nebraska is coming off quite an impressive effort versus Oregon, hitting 51 percent from the field with a 35-32 rebounding edge in the road victory. The Cornhuskers scored 12 points off 10 Ducks turnovers but did have 12 turnovers themselves for 16 points on the other side. The 3-point shooting wasn’t good either (4-of-23 for 17.4 percent). Still, it was a very nice victory. Nebraska now has consecutive wins over ranked teams (Illinois is the other) following a six-game losing streak.

As for Washington, they didn’t shoot great (41.8 percent) in the Minnesota game and gave up 14 turnovers for 18 Gophers points. The Huskies also gave up 52.3 percent shooting on the other side but saved themselves with a nice performance from the line (18-of-21 for 85.7 percent) and a 33-25 rebounding edge (13-5 offensive). Washington had been below 59 points in three of their previous five games (all losses), so it was a nice total (71). This game could break a lot of ways, but overall I think the Cornhuskers have a slightly better cover chance.

Can Nebraska Build on the Last Game?

Nebraska had been struggling heading into the last game, but all they needed was a date with Illinois to turn the season around. Nebraska’s offense scored 80 points and that was enough for the six-point victory. I took overtime, but they were able to pick up the win. Two games ago against Wisconsin, the offense scored only 55 points, but the defense gave up 83 points and that led to the blowout defeat.

Nebraska is averaging 75.6 points while their defense is giving up 71.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 156th in the league while the defense is ranked 171st in the league. Brice Williams is averaging 18.6 points while shooting 36.2 percent from teh field. 

Oregon is Suddenly Struggling

Oregon is suddenly struggling heading into this game and they have lost two games in a row. Two games ago against Minnesota, they ended up losing 77-69 and in the last game against UCLA they ended up losing 78-52. At halftime, they were down 40-26 and in the second half, they couldn’t bounce back. Oregon was led by Nate Bittle who put up 13 points, five rebounds, and two assists. There were three different players that put up at least 11 points. 

Oregon sits with a 16-5 record overall and they have gone 9-12 against the spread. The over has hit in 11 of the 21 games so far this season. Oregon is averaging 76.7 points while their defense is giving up 70.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 119th in the league while the defense is ranked 155th. Nate Bittle is averaging 12.9 points while shooting 50.3 percent from the field. 

Oregon vs Nebraska Prediction

Oregon is struggling heading into this game but this is a great get-back spot for them. Nebraska is coming off a key win but overall there have been some struggles and they are going to have some issues here. The Cornhuskers defense is giving up 71.1 points per game and they are going to really struggle to defend in this game. Nebraska’s offense is going to have no answer and Oregon will cover the spread.

Illinois has won nine straight games against Nebraska. Illinois hasn’t lost to Nebraska since December 2018. If Nebraska doesn’t fix its defense, this game should be a bloodbath and the line is more than reasonable. I’ll lay the points with Illinois.

The Cornhuskers got off to a great start this year and were sitting pretty by the 14-game mark. Nebraska has since fallen on hard times due to a string of tricky Big Ten matchups, however, and they’re currently mired in a five-game losing streak. Nebraska’s season kicked off on a 6-1 run with a lone loss to St. Mary’s amid wins over UT Rio Grande Valley, Bethune-Cookman, Fairleigh Dickinson, Creighton, South Dakota, and North Florida. Following a loss to Michigan State, the Cornhuskers took out Indiana, Murray State, Hawaii, Oregon State, Southern, and UCLA in succession. Since then, however, the aforementioned five-game losing streak has kicked in. Those defeats have come at the hands of Iowa, Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, and USC in succession, giving Nebraska a 12-7 overall record through 19 games this year.

In the USC matchup back on Wednesday, the Cornhuskers came out of halftime looking up at a 33-31 advantage on the scoreboard. Nebraska’s edge didn’t last though, as the team was outscored 47-40 the rest of the way during a rough loss of 78-73 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Juwan Gary with 27 points and three rebounds. Brice Williams added 17 points with four boards, two assists, and two steals. Connor Essegian came off the bench for 15 points and one rebound in 25 minutes of work on the floor as well.

Wisconsin Badgers Betting Preview

Over on the Wisconsin side, they came out of the gate with a very nice run themselves. The Badgers had a tough stretch briefly in early December, but they’ve done quite well overall since then. Wisconsin opened on an 8-0 stretch, taking out Holy Cross, Montana State, App State, Arizona, UT Rio Grande Valley, UCF, Pitt, and Chicago State. The Badgers would hit a losing streak after that (their only instance of consecutive losses so far), falling to Michigan, Marquette, and Illinois in succession. A win streak over Butler, Detroit, Iowa, Rutgers, Minnesota, Ohio State, and USC came next, then a tight loss to UCLA this past week that gave the Badgers a 15-4 overall record at the 19-game mark so far this year.

Matched up against UCLA on Tuesday, the Badgers held a five-point edge going into the break. Wisconsin was outscored 49-42 the rest of the way however and ended up taking a tough loss 85-83. Leading the team in scoring was John Tonje with 24 points, five boards, and two assists. John Blackwell added 23 points with four rebounds and four assists, while Steven Crowl also finished in double-digits with 11 points, five boards, and three assists.

Wisconsin vs Nebraska Prediction

I’m going to stay with Wisconsin, but you could call this one either way. It should be a solid matchup. The Badgers shot very well (51 percent) and had a 28-25 rebounding edge against UCLA in their latest road loss. Wisconsin’s issues were with turnovers (13 for 10 Bruins points) and shooting percentage allowed (50.9) as they lost steam in the second half. The good news for Wisconsin is that they’ve still been scoring well. They’ve got 70 or more points in all but one game this season (64 in a three-point loss to Michigan).

As for Nebraska, they were outmuscled on the boards 36-31 (12-6 offensive) and had 11 turnovers for 16 Trojans points in their latest loss to USC. The Cornhuskers have given up 69 or more points in each installment of this current five-game losing streak, so Wisconsin should be able to notch a solid total here. Should be a fun game to watch regardless of the outcome.

USC Trojans Betting Preview

The Trojans have been something of a mixed bag so far this year. USC has some nice stretches of play in the books, however, they’ve also got a couple of spotty runs against some tricky competition. The Trojans opened with a 5-1 run featuring a lone loss to California alongside wins over Chattanooga, Idaho State, Texas Arlington, San Jose State, and Grambling. Three straight losses versus Saint Mary’s, New Mexico, and Oregon followed, then four wins over Washington, Montana State, Cal State Northridge, and Southern. Since then it’s been a 2-3 run over the last five games for the Trojans. They’ve got wins over Illinois and Iowa mixed with losses to Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin during that time for an 11-7 overall record so far.

Leading the charge in the losing effort was Saint Thomas with 19 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Over the last four games, Nebraska has taken a string of consecutive losses. Those defeats have come in succession versus Iowa, Purdue, Rutgers, and Maryland, giving the Cornhuskers a 12-6 overall record so far this season through 18 games.

Matched up against Maryland on Sunday, the Cornhuskers were within two points at the break. Nebraska didn’t end up getting any closer on a 32-31 second half and fell 69-66 in the end. Leading team scorer Andrew Morgan came off the bench to provide 17 points with five rebounds and a steal in 24 minutes of work. Brice Williams added 14 points with four rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 33 minutes to lead the starters.

Nebraska vs USC Prediction

I’ll lean toward Nebraska I suppose. You could make a case either way, though—and both teams could use a good performance here. The Cornhuskers didn’t play horrendously against a talented Maryland team in their last outing—but did make a couple of statistical mistakes. Nebraska missed five of their 11 free throws (54.5 percent) and had 13 turnovers during the tight road loss. The Cornhuskers have given up 69 or more points in each of the last four games (all losses) and 85 or more in three of those. To be fair, however, Nebraska has played some tricky teams in that time.

As for USC, they’re a stellar squad themselves this year when they can put everything together. The Trojans were quite permissive in their latest loss to Wisconsin though, giving up 56.4 percent shooting and posting 16 turnovers for 22 Badgers points. Still, USC has some nice wins in the bag, including their 10-point victory on the road over Illinois earlier this month. I like the Trojans to put up a good fight here, but in the end, I think Nebraska pulls it off. It’ll be a fun matchup to watch though, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see USC shine in this one either.

Maryland Terrapins Betting Preview

The Maryland Terrapins are 13-5 (3-4) this year after they lost to Northwestern by a score of 76-74 in overtime. Maryland trailed 38-37 at halftime, but they were able to force overtime, before losing on a buzzer-beater. Maryland is shooting 48.9% from the field, 75.6% on free throws, and 35.9% on three-pointers this season.

Nebraska is shooting 46.3% from the field and they are scoring 77.2 points per game, but their defense on the road has been awful. Maryland is coming off of a tough loss in overtime against Northwestern, but they do play their best basketball at home. The Terrapins are shooting nearly 49% from the field and they are allowing just 64.4 points per game on defense. Rutgers Scarlet Knights Betting Preview

Rutgers kicked off the 2024-25 season on a pretty solid run, but they’ve struggled since late November with only one instance of consecutive wins during that time. The Scarlet Knights opened on a 5-1 stretch with wins over Wagner, Saint Peter’s, Monmouth, Merrimack, and Notre Dame alongside a lone loss to Kennesaw State. A 3-4 stretch came after that, with wins over Penn State, Seton Hall, and Columbia mixed with losses to Alabama, Texas A&M, Ohio State, and Princeton. Since then it’s been a 1-4 stretch. The Scarlet Knights fell to Indiana, Wisconsin, and Purdue in succession before a win over UCLA, giving Rutgers a 9-8 overall record through the first 17 games of the season.

In the UCLA game on Monday, the Scarlet Knights came out of halftime sporting a 33-30 deficit. Rutgers did get better from there on a 45-35 second-half run, eventually taking the victory in comeback fashion 75-68. Leading the team in scoring was Ace Bailey, who doubled up on 20 points with 10 boards and three blocks with a pair of assists. Dylan Harper added 18 points with four rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes, while Jeremiah Williams led the bench players on his 11 points, one rebound, one steal, and one assist in 26 minutes of work.

Over on the Nebraska side, they came out of the gate this year with a flourish, and they’ve only recently suffered their first instance of consecutive losses. The Cornhuskers won six of their first seven games, losing to only Saint Mary’s with wins otherwise versus UTRGV, Bethune-Cookman, Fairleigh Dickinson, Creighton, South Dakota, and North Florida. Following another loss to Michigan State, the Cornhuskers beat Indiana, Murray State, Hawaii, Oregon State, Southern, and UCLA in the next six. In their last two games, however, the Cornhuskers have lost to Iowa and Purdue, giving the team a 12-4 record so far across 16 games.

Matched up against Purdue back on Sunday, Nebraska looked pretty rough. The Cornhuskers limped into the locker room with a 45-28 deficit, then didn’t get any closer in the second with a 59-40 run for a 104-68 defeat. Leading team scorer Connor Essegian came off the bench to post 17 points with five rebounds and three assists. The only other player on the team to notch a double-figure points total was Juwan Gary with 10 alongside one rebound and two turnovers in 29 minutes of work on the floor during the defeat.

Nebraska vs Rutgers Prediction

I’m going to stay with Nebraska. The Cornhuskers do need quite the bounce-back effort after a pair of losses, though. In the Purdue game Nebraska shot well (48.1 percent) from the field but also gave up 63.1 percent on the other side. The Cornhuskers also got out-rebounded 33-20 and coughed up 17 turnovers for 22 Purdue points in the blowout defeat. The 68-point total was fairly low for Nebraska, but not exactly uncharacteristic. The troubling stat is the whopping 201 combined points surrendered over the last two games.

As for Rutgers, they started pretty slowly against a solid UCLA team in their latest game, but to their credit the Knights came through in the end. Rutgers ended up shooting 46.2 percent in that one along with 37 rebounds for a much-needed victory. The Scarlet Knights had posted just 113 combined points over their previous pair, and they’ve given up 68 or more points in four straight. Nebraska should have plenty of room to score Thursday, and playing at home will certainly help. I like the Cornhuskers to notch a nice recovery effort here.

UCLA Defense Continues to Impress

UCLA’s defense has continued to impress and the biggest reason has been because of the defense. UCLA sits with a 1-2 record overall and in the last game against Gonzaga they were able to secure the 65-63 victory. In the first half, the defense gave up only 25 points and that was enough to hold on for the victory. UCLA as a team shot 36.4 percent from the field and 50 percent from behind the three-point line. Gonzaga shot 45.5 percent and 29.2 percent from behind the three-point line. Eric Dailey Jr put up 18 points, six rebounds, and two assists. 

UCLA has gone 9-4 against the spread so far this year, and the over has only hit on three of their 13 games. UCLA on the season is averaging 77.4 points while their defense is giving up 58.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 140th in the league while the defense is ranked 66th. Tyler Bilodeau has been the top player averaging 14.5 points while shooting 49 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from behind the three-point line. UCLA is dealing with all kinds of injury issues heading into this game. William Kyle III is out on Saturday. Evan Manjikian is also dealing with an undisclosed injury and he’s out.

In the first half, the defense gave up only 15 points and that was enough for an easy victory. Connor Essegian had a strong game putting up 20 points. Two games ago against Oregon State, Nebraska scored 78 points and they ended up winning by 12 points. This is a defense that has a lot of confidence heading into this game, and that will need to continue to be the case here. 

The Cornhuskers are averaging 77.7 points while their defense is giving up 65.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 128th in the league while the defense is ranked 40th in the league. Guard Brice Williams is averaging 19 points while shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from behind the three-point line. The Cornhusker had three different players that put up at least 11.7 points. Ahron Ulis is dealing with an injury, and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go in this game. Nebraska will meet Iowa, Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, and USC after this game.

Oregon State has scored 74 or more points in five of the six games during this current win streak though, holding opponents to fewer than 66 points in five as well.

As for Nebraska, they had a good second half versus Hawaii and ended up shooting a nice 47.3 percent from the field. The Cornhuskers have given up a combined 104 points in their last two games, so points could be at a premium for Oregon State here. All things considered though, I like the Beavers to eke out a cover in what should be a fun matchup.

Boston College is looking for their third straight win and they should have a ton of confidence heading into this game. Boston College in the last game faced off against Pittsburgh and they scored 34 points and ended up winning by 11 points. Grayson James completed 20 of his 28 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Nebraska is Finally Back in a Bowl Game

Nebraska is finally back in a bowl game and they hope to finish the season on a high note. The last game for Nebraska came against Iowa and it wasn’t a good game. The offense only managed 10 points and even though the defense gave up 13 points, they still ended up losing. Dylan Raiola was up and down his freshman season and against Iowa he completed 22 of his 32 passes for 190 yards. Emmett Johnson finished with 18 carries for 71 yards. Two games ago against Wisconsin, Nebraska scored 44 points and they need to get the offense out to a fast start. Nebraska is averaging 23.8 points while their defense is giving up 19.8 points per game.

Give me Boston College here. I still am not sold on this Nebraska team, especially Raiola. Boston College is averaging 29.2 points per game and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. Nebraska’s offense isn’t going to have any answer, and that is going to be the difference here as Boston College is going to get the job done. I think Boston College will win this game outright, but we will take the points.

Nebraska Dominated

Hawaii Looked Good

Hawaii faced off on Sunday against the Charlotte 49ers and they were able to secure the 78-61 victory. At halftime, they were up 44-31 and they never looked back on the way to the win. Gytis Nemeiksa had a strong game putting up 24 points, seven rebounds, and one assist. Marcus Greene had a strong game also putting p 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Two games ago against Texas A&M Corpus Christi, they were defeated 71-62. Hawaii on the season is averaging 74.7 points while their defense is giving up 70 points per game. The offense is ranked 211th while the defense is ranked 149th. In this game, Hawaii is going to need the defense to be good.

Hawaii has been strong heading into this game and they are going to fo find success again here. Hawaii is averaging 74.7 points per game and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. Nebraska’s defense hasn’t been great this season and that is going to really hurt them in this game. Hawaii has the home crowd advantage also, and they are going to end up getting the job done. The Cornhuskers came into the year on a 3-0 run before a loss to Saint Mary’s 77-74. It’s been a 4-1 run since then with wins over Creighton, South Dakota, North Florida and Indiana alongside a lone loss to Michigan State in that time.

On December 13 versus Indiana, the Cornhuskers held a three-point edge in the locker room. Nebraska hit a 41-27 run the rest of the way in an 85-68 win. Brice Williams posted 30 points with six rebounds and five assists in the victory.

Murray State Racers Betting Preview

Over on the Murray State side, they went 3-2 over their first five with losses to Pittsburgh and Utah Valley. After wins versus TX-Arlington, Evansville and Southeast Missouri State, the Racers have since lost to Western Kentucky and Indiana State.

In the matchup with the Sycamores on Wednesday, the Racers were drilled 41-26 in the first half. Murray State got better from there on 48 points but still lost 84-74. Kylen Milton was the leading scorer with 18 points and four steals.

Murray State vs Nebraska Prediction

I’ll stick with Nebraska. The Cornhuskers flew right past a pretty decent Indiana team with 61.2 percent shooting in their latest win, holding the Hoosiers to just 35.4 percent on the other side. Nebraska has scored 85 or more points in each of their last three wins, but did post an 89-52 dud in a road loss to Michigan State on December 7.

As for Murray State, they gave up 56.9 percent shooting and were out-rebounded 35-27 in their loss to Indiana State. The Racers have been scoring well this year, though; they’ve hit 73 or more points in eight of 10 outings so far. Keeping a cover pace with Nebraska is going to be tough, though.

Indiana Hoosiers Betting Preview

The Indiana Hoosiers beat Miami OH and Minnesota, and they play Chattanooga, Winthrop, and Rutgers next. The Nebraska Cornhuskers are getting the benefit of the doubt because they’re at home where they’ve played their best ball, and they continue to show flashes defensively. However, a strong argument can be made the Indiana Hoosiers are simply the better team, and there’s not much the Huskers can do if those shots continue to fall. Indiana is stacked offensively and has played well up to this point, which includes a 6-4 ATS record. Indiana hasn’t played a true road game yet, so the jury is still out, obviously. Still, I’m grabbing the points with the better team.

The Michigan State Spartans should feel good after beating North Carolina and Minnesota and now coming back home. However, we can’t just overlook Nebraska, a team that upset Creighton and took St. Mary’s down to the wire. The Nebraska Cornhuskers are a tough defensive side and have a couple of guys who can take over offensively down the stretch. This feels like a potential ugly low-scoring Big Ten showdown. I want the points with the Huskers.
