Eagles vs Rams Injury Report

Alaric Jackson, Ahkello Witherspoon, Bobby Brown III, and Tyler Higbee are questionable for the Rams. Obviously, Higbee is the big question mark, as he’s a productive tight end when healthy and had five receptions early against the Vikings last week.

For the Eagles, Byron Young was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. A.J. Brown is dealing with a knee injury and is considered questionable. Of course, it would be a surprise to see Brown sit, but he was limited against the Packers, held to just one catch on three targets.

Eagles vs Rams Prediction

The Philadelphia Eagles are going to get the love from oddsmakers because they’re at home where they don’t lose and while both teams played last week, they don’t have to travel. The Eagles are also 12-6 ATS on the season, with covers in eight of their last 10 games. With all of that said, I still want the touchdown with the Rams. The Rams’ defense has come along lately, which includes allowing single-digit points in four of their last five games. The Rams are explosive offensively at full strength, and I believe in coach Sean McVay more than most coaches in the NFL. Also, the Eagles having a banged-up AJ Brown isn’t ideal. Oh, since December, the Rams are 4-0 ATS and 3-1 SU as an underdog. I would not be shocked if the Rams stole this game outright. Give me the free touchdown.

The Los Angeles Rams are 10-7 this season after they lost to Seattle by a score of 30-25 in their last game. Los Angeles trailed 17-13 at halftime, but they did lead 25-24 in the fourth quarter, before allowing the game-winning touchdown with about three minutes left. The Rams outgained Seattle by a total of 403-336, lost the turnover battle 1-0, and went 5-14 on third down in the game. Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 334 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while Jordan Whittington caught three passes for 86 yards in the loss. 

Prior to that game, the Rams defeated the Cardinals by a score of 13-9 and the Jets by a score of 19-9. Los Angeles has won five of their last six games and won the tiebreaker over the Seahawks to win the NFC West. The LA offense has scored 21.6 points per game with 227.5 passing yards and 103.8 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 22.7 points per game this season. Matthew Stafford has completed 65.8% of his passes for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, while Puka Nacua has caught 79 passes for 990 yards and three scores this year. 

Minnesota Vikings Betting Preview

The Minnesota Vikings are 14-3 this year after they lost to Detroit by a score of 31-9 in their last game. Minnesota trailed 10-6 at halftime but did cut the deficit to 10-9 in the third quarter, but the Lions were able to pull away in the loss. The Vikings were outgained by a total of 394-262, won the turnover battle 2-0, and went 5-12 on third down in the game. Sam Darnold threw for 166 yards and was just 18-41 on his passes, while Cam Akers rushed for 65 yards on six carries in the loss. 

Prior to that game, the Vikings defeated the Packers by a score of 27-25 and the Seahawks by a score of 27-24. Minnesota has won nine of their last ten games, but they lost the NFC North by one game to the Lions, which dropped them all the way down to the fifth seed. The Minnesota offense has scored 25.4 points per game with 237.8 passing yards and 109.1 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 19.5 points per game this season. Darnold did not play well under center for Minnesota and missed several opener receivers in the red zone, but he has been great for most of the season. This is going to be a great matchup to end Wild Card weekend, but I think this Vikings team is the more talented team and I expect them to bounce back against a much easier opponent than the Lions. The Rams can clinch the #3 seed with a win, but they would also secure the 3rd seed in the NFC if the Buccaneers lost to the Saints in the 1:00 PM EST Window, which would likely see the Rams pull their starters or give them a quick hook and the line would move accordingly. Seattle has played better on the road, but they’re already eliminated from playoff contention, and I’m really not that interested in the Seahawks in their current form after that debacle of a performance against the Chicago Bears on the road last week. Give me the Rams, but like I said, keep monitoring the situation.

The Rams’ year kicked off on a spotty 1-4 run. Since the bye week however, Los Angeles has beaten the Raiders, Vikings, Seahawks, Patriots, Saints, Bills, and 49ers during a much-improved 7-2 stretch for an 8-6 overall record this year.

Last Thursday versus the 49ers, the Rams were down 6-3 going into the final quarter. Los Angeles mustered nine more points in a 12-6 win. Matthew Stafford threw for 160 yards, and Karen Williams carried 29 times for 108 yards. Lead receiver Puka Nacua had seven catches for 97 yards.

New York Jets Betting Preview

Over on the Jets’ side, it’s been yet another lost season. After a 2-1 start, New York lost to the Broncos, Vikings, Bills, Patriots, Steelers, Cardinals, Colts, Seahawks, and Dolphins in an ugly 1-9 stretch. The Jets finally got another win last weekend.

I’ll stay with the Rams. LA had a defensive struggle against a middling 49ers team last Thursday, but to their credit, the Rams pulled off the victory. Los Angeles mustered just 14 first downs and 160 passing yards (302 total) in the win. The defense was great on 191 yards and 11 first downs allowed, though. The Rams’ scoring hasn’t been great lately; they’ve been below 22 points in three of the last four. The good news however is: they’re playing the Jets this week.

Speaking of the Jets, they needed a second-half rally to get past a struggling Jaguars team (without their starting QB) last weekend. New York notched 400 yards and 22 first downs in that one, and the good news is that they’ve now hit 21 or more points in four straight games. The Jets’ defense has given up 25 or more points in five straight, however, so the Rams should have plenty of room to move down the field in this one.

The San Francisco 49ers are 6-7 this year after they defeated the Bears by a score of 38-13 in their last game. San Francisco led 24-0 at halftime and they were able to cruise to an easy win in the second half. The 49ers outgained Chicago by a total of 452-162, tied the turnover battle at one, and went 6-12 on third down in the game. Brock Purdy threw for 325 yards and two touchdowns, while Isaac Guerendo rushed for 78 yards and two scores in the game. 

Prior to that win, the 49ers lost three games in a row against Buffalo, Green Bay, and Seattle. The San Francisco offense has scored 23.7 points per game with 239.6 passing yards and 138.9 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 23.7 points per game this season. Brock Purdy has completed 66.8% of his passes for 3,032 yards, 15 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, while George Kittle has caught 56 passes for 800 yards and eight scores. 

LA Rams Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Rams are 7-6 this season after they defeated Buffalo by a score of 44-42 in their last game. Los Angeles led 38-21 heading into the fourth quarter, but they were barely able to hang on for the win. The Rams outgained Buffalo by a total of 457-445, tied the turnover battle at zero, and went 11-15 on third down in the game. I mean this is a Saints team that was flat-out abysmal for the last month and a half before these back-to-back wins. The Rams can still make moves in the division about the need to take advantage of winnable spots like these. Give me the Rams.

In the Philadelphia Eagles convincing 34-6 victory over the Dallas Cowboys two weeks ago, Eagles signal caller Jalen Hurts accumulated a massive 202 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 56 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns.

Looking closer at the data just presented, in the Philadelphia Eagles impressive victory over the Dallas Cowboys just mentioned, Jalen Hurts compiled 31.7 Draftkings points.

Eagles Have Confidence

The Eagles have a ton of confidence heading into this game, and they are coming off another win in the last game. In the last game against the Washington Commanders, the Eagles scored 26 points and they ended up winning eight points. Jalen Hurts completed 18 of his 28 passes for 221 yards. Saquon Barkley had 26 carries for 146 yards and two touchdowns. A.J. Brown has caught 33 passes for 618 yards and three touchdowns. Saquon Barkley has rushed for 1,137 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Chiefs are averaging 24 points while their defense is giving up 19.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 11th in the league while the defense is ranked 8th in the league. 

Rams Need These Wins

The Rams sit with a 5-5 record overall and if they want to make the playoffs they are going to need to find success here. The Rams put up 28 points in the last game against the New England Patriots and they ended up winning by six points. Matthew Stafford completed 18 of his 27 passes for 295 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Kyren Williams finished with 15 carries for 86 yards.

The Rams are averaging 21.3 points while their defense is giving up 23.9 points per game. The offense is ranked 21st in the league while the defense is ranked 22nd in the league. Matthew Stafford completed 232 of his 349 passes for 2,557 yards, 13 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Williams also rushed for 750 yards and eight touchdowns. 

Why the Rams Will Cover Against the Eagles

• The Rams have won three of their last four games as underdogs in California.
• The Eagles have lost three of their last four games as road favorites when playing with a rest advantage.
• The Rams have covered the spread in each of their last four Sunday games against teams that held a winning record.
• The Eagles have failed to cover the spread in five of their last six road games when playing with a rest advantage.
• The underdogs have won the first quarter in three of the Rams’ last four Week 12 games.
• The Rams have won the first half in four of their last five Sunday home games.

LA Rams vs Philadelphia Eagles Prediction

The Rams need these wins and they are going to find success in this game. The Rams are averaging only 21.3 points per game and they are going to find success in this game. I expect the Rams’ defense is also going to step up and that is going to be the difference here as LA is going to keep this game close. I think they win this game outright, but will take the points to be safe. Back the Rams.

The Rams Have Been Up and Down

The Rams have been up and down so far this season and they come into this game with a 4-5 record overall. In the last game against the Miami Dolphins, the Rams scored only 15 points and they ended up losing by eight points. Matthew Stafford completed 32 of his 46 passes for 293 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. Kyren Williams was the top player finishing with 15 carries for 62 yards. Away from home this season the Rams are 1-3 straight up. 

The Rams are averaging 20.6 points while their defense is giving up 24.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 20th in the league while the defense is ranked 22nd. In this game the Rams need Stafford to throw a couple of touchdowns. 

What a Win for the Patriots

The Patriots sit with a 3-7 record overall, but they are coming off quite the victory in the last game. The Patriots faced off against the Chicago Bears and the defense gave up only three points and that was enough for 16 point victory. Drake Maye completed 15 of his 25 passes for 184 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Austin Hooper was the top player for the Patriots finishing with three catches for 64 yards. In this game, they are going to need Maye to have a big game here. 

The Patriots are averaging 16 points while their defense is giving up 22 points per game. The offense is ranked 31st in the league while the defense is ranked 13th. The offense just hasn’t been good enough overall to find success. 

New England Patriots vs LA Rams Prediction

This total is too high. I am not sold on the Patriots offense and their offense is going to really struggle here. Even in the last game where they won they only scored 19 points. The Patriots aren’t going to get the best game from Drake Maye. Matthew Stafford also isn’t going to run up the score against the Patriots’ defense and that is going to be the difference here as this game will end up under the posted total.

We have a fun matchup on Monday night between the Los Angeles Rams and the Miami Dolphins, each team enters with distinct strengths and challenges. The Rams’ offense has shown moderate success through Matthew Stafford’s 246.1 passing yards per game and Kyren Williams’ strong rushing performance with eight touchdowns. Key players such as Demarcus Robinson and Cooper Kupp also contribute to the passing game, and the Rams are predicted to rely on this balanced attack. However, their defense has struggled against both the run and pass, which could make it difficult to contain the Dolphins’ offense.

The Dolphins, while ranked 24th in passing yards, benefit from a potent rushing game led by Devon Achane. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has a strong completion rate (72.7%) and works with star receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, though Hill’s questionable status due to a wrist injury could impact the game. Miami’s defense has been solid, particularly against the pass, which may pose challenges for Stafford and the Rams’ receivers. Notably, Miami has struggled on the road this season, which could affect their performance in this away game at SoFi Stadium.

Kyren Williams 2+ Touchdowns

Kyren Williams has been productive for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 NFL season. Over eight games, he has rushed for 602 yards on 161 attempts, averaging 3.7 yards per carry, with a long run of 30 yards and a notable eight rushing touchdowns. As a receiver, Williams has contributed 20 receptions on 25 targets for 116 yards, averaging 5.8 yards per catch, and added two receiving touchdowns. Williams has been instrumental in the Rams’ offense, providing consistency in both rushing and passing games. His efforts have helped him accumulate impressive combined stats as a versatile back.

You should be able to get this line around +240 ​on the odds which in my opinion is great value. Kyren Williams scored a touchdown every game this season until the last two weeks. This is a great spot for him to get back in the end zone and I think there’s a good chance we can see him get in there twice. This Dolphin’s defense has been susceptible to giving up big plays on the ground. With Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua back they’ll garner a lot of attention which will open things up for Kyren.

Jaylen Waddle Over 3.5 Rec

Jaylen Waddle has posted solid receiving numbers in the 2024 NFL season as the Miami Dolphins’ second primary receiver. Through 8 games, he has recorded 33 receptions for 446 yards, averaging 13.5 yards per catch, with 3 receiving touchdowns. His role has mainly been to create opportunities in the intermediate range, complementing Tyreek Hill’s deep-play explosiveness.

It’s been a quiet few weeks for Waddle as we saw him only get two receptions last week and only one reception a couple weeks ago against the Colts. I expect him to get back to his normal self in this game. With the way both these teams play, I expect a lot of points and Tua dropping back to pass at a high rate. 3.5 receptions is just too low for a guy like Waddle who has the ability to get open like he does.
