Where will the 2025 Genesis Invitational be played?

The 2025 Genesis Invitational will be played at Torrey Pines (South Course) in San Diego, California. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,765 yards.

The Genesis Invitational is traditionally played at the Riveria Country Club. However, due to the recent Los Angeles wildfires the 2025 Genesis Invitational was moved to Torrey Pines.

Hideki Matsuyama won the 2024 Genesis Invitational with a cumulative four round score of nine under par.

2025 Genesis Invitational Draftkings Picks

Rory McIlroy $10,900

Since the beginning of September, Rory McIlroy has played nine tournaments (PGA and DP World Tours combined). In those nine events just mentioned, McIlroy amassed a rather impressive eight top 11 finishes, including a win at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am two weeks ago.

Due to Rory McIlroy’s quality finish at the 2025 Pebble Beach Pro-Am I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the event to determine how McIlroy fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, in relation to the field, Rory McIlroy ranked first in driving distance (336.7), 19th in GIR (greens in regulation-70.8%), 15th in putting average (1.627), sixth in bogey avoidance (5) and first in total eagles made (3).

Additionally, Rory McIlroy has posted a good result at this week’s PGA Tour event in the past. McIlroy finished third at the 2020 Genesis Invitational.

Taylor Pendrith $10,200

Taylor Pendrith has accumulated four top 13 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a seventh-place result at the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open three weeks ago. Keep in mind that the Farmers Insurance Open was played at Torrey Pines. Having stated that, I fully expect Taylor Pendrith to continue his outstanding play at this week’s 2025 Genesis Invitational.

Keegan Bradley $7,700

The 2011 PGA Championship winner has compiled three top 15 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a sixth-place result at the 2025 Sony Open last month.

Cameron Davis $6,800

The talented Australian arrives at this week’s event on the heels of two consecutive top 18 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last month.

In my opinion, Cameron Davis’s low Draftkings price of only $6,800 presents the best value of any player on this week’s PGA Tour DFS slate.

The first round of the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open will be played at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland. The golf course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,237 yards.

The Renaissance Club has been the host golf course for the Genesis Scottish Open since 2019.

Genesis Scottish Open Draftkings Picks

Rory McIlroy $11,800

Rory McIlroy arrives at this week’s tournament on the heels of five consecutive top 15 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an impressive win at the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship in May.

In relation to this week’s 2024 Genesis Scottish Open field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Rory McIlroy ranks first in strokes gained tee to green, 12th in strokes gained approach, first in bogey avoidance, fourth in birdie or better percentage, seventh in GIR (greens in regulation), and first in total Draftkings points scored.

Rory McIlroy certainly checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Since 2014, McIlroy has played the Genesis Scottish Open a total of four times. In those four tournaments just noted, McIlroy accumulated two top 14 finishes, including a win at the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open.

Min Woo Lee $9,100

Since the beginning of April, Min Woo Lee has played six events on the PGA Tour. In those six tournaments just mentioned, Lee accumulated six consecutive top 26 finishes, including a second-place result at the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic two weeks ago.

Min Woo Lee won the 2021 Genesis Scottish Open.

Aaron Rai $8,800

Last month, Aaron Rai fired a third round 65 at the 2024 RBC Canadian Open en route to an eventual 14th place finish.

Due to Aaron Rai’s quality finish at the 2024 RBC Canadian Open I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the tournament to see how Rai fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2024 RBC Canadian Open, in relation to the field, Aaron Rai ranked first in driving accuracy (78.6%), fifth in GIR (greens in regulation-79.2%), first in strokes gained tee to green (2.741), and second in strokes gained off the tee (1.269).

Seamus Power $7,100

The talented Irishman has accumulated two consecutive top 20 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 17th place result at last week’s 2024 John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2024 Genesis Scottish Open field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Seamus Power ranks 13th in strokes gained approach, 14th in strokes gained tee to green, and 12th in total Draftkings points scored.

In relation to this week’s 2024 U.S. Open field, in the last 50 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Rory McIlroy ranks 13th in GIR (greens in regulation), third in strokes gained tee to green, third in strokes gained off the tee, fourth in bogey avoidance, and sixth in birdie or better percentage.

Rory McIlroy also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event history. Since 2019, McIlroy has competed in the U.S. Open five times. In those five events just noted, McIlroy has accumulated a robust five consecutive top nine finishes, including a second-place result at the 2023 U.S. Open.

Tommy Fleetwood $8,500

Since the beginning of April, Tommy Fleetwood has played seven events on the PGA Tour. In those seven tournaments just mentioned, Fleetwood accumulated six top 26 finishes, including a 13th place result at the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship.

In relation to this week’s 2024 U.S. Open field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tommy Fleetwood ranks 15th in GIR (greens in regulation), sixth in strokes gained around the green, fourth in bogey avoidance, and seventh in strokes gained on par fours.

Additionally, Tommy Fleetwood has played well at the U.S. Open in the past. Fleetwood finished fifth at the 2023 U.S. Open.

Tony Finau $8,100

The talented American has accumulated five top 18 finishes in his last seven tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a second-place result at the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open in April.

In relation to this week’s 2024 U.S. Open field, in the last 50 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tony Finau ranks sixth in strokes gained approach, fourth in GIR (greens in regulation), 12th in strokes gained tee to green, and 12th in strokes gained on par fives.

Similar to McIlroy and Fleetwood, Tony Finau has posted a quality result at the U.S. Open previously. More specifically, Tony Finau finished eighth at the 2020 U.S. Open.

Rory McIlroy $10,600

In relation to this week’s currently listed 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Rory McIlroy ranks 11th in GIR (greens in regulation), first in strokes gained off the tee, and 11th in birdie or better percentage.

Rory McIlroy also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Since 2015, Mcilroy has played this week’s PGA Tour event nine times. In those nine tournaments just noted, McIlroy has accumulated eight top 13 finishes, including a win at the 2018 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Jordan Spieth $9,300

The 2015 Masters winner has accumulated two top six finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a third place result at the 2024 Sentry in January.

In relation to this week’s currently listed 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Jordan Spieth ranks eighth in par five scoring, seventh in strokes gained around the green, ninth in birdie or better percentage, and 13th in par four scoring.

Similar to McIlroy, Jordan Spieth has played well at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge previously. Spieth finished fourth at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Jason Day $8,200

Jason Day arrives at this week’s event on the heels of two consecutive top nine finishes on the PGA Tour, including a ninth place result 2024 Genesis Championship.

Additionally, Day finished tenth at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Erik Van Rooyen $6,600

The talented South African has accumulated two consecutive top eight finishes on the PGA Tour, including a second place result at last week’s 2024 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches.
