Looking closer at the data just presented, in the eight games that Olivera has played for the Blue Bombers this season, Olivera has averaged a respectable 15.9 Draftkings points a contest.

These two teams played earlier this season. Who prevailed? Two weeks ago, the Blue Bombers defeated the BC Lions 25-0. In Winnipeg’s shutout win over the Lions just mentioned, Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Brady Olivera played exceptionally well. Olivera poured in 100 rushing yards, four receptions, and 42 receiving yards. Clearly, Brady Olivera is playing outstanding football entering this week’s matchup with the Lions.

Zach Collaros, Quarterback, Winnipeg Blue Bombers $10,700

How important has quarterback Zach Collaros been to Winnipeg Blue Bombers offense this season? Let’s take a quick look at Zach Collaros’s recent play on the football field to answer that question.

Lucky Whitehead, Wide Receiver, Winnipeg Blue Bombers $5,800

In the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 25-0 shutout defeat of the BC Lions earlier this month, Winnipeg Blue Bombers wide receiver Lucky Whitehead was targeted by Winnipeg quarterbacks six times. In those six targets, Whitehead accumulated six receptions and 56 receiving yards.

With all that said, the Roughriders are still 4-1 SU, they’re at home and while there are concerns, the defense forces turnovers and is the best against the run. Additionally, I like Dru Brown’s matchup in this game. Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Dru Brown draws a Winnipeg Blue Bombers defense that has had issues defending the quarterback position in the 2024 CFL regular season. Upon the completion of four games played this season, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are ranked a rather low sixth in total passing yards allowed (370.8) a game to the quarterback position.

In my opinion, Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Dru Brown is the best fantasy value of any player on this slate. Brown arrives on this slate at the low cost of only $8,500.

As I noted in the rules section above, selecting the correct players for your flex positions for a DFS showdown lineup is absolutely vital if you hope to win a large field GPP (guaranteed prize pool) Draftkings contest. In those 27 targets, Hardy accumulated 19 receptions, 328 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns.

I noted earlier in this article that the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have been less than stellar defending the pass in 2024. Having stated that, I think locking up Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Dru Brown and wide receiver Justin Hardy as flex plays is the smart way to attack this one game CFL slate.
