One of the big issues all season for this Liverpool team has been the injuries and it doesn’t seem this team can catch a break. Ibrahima Konate is the latest to pick up a knock and he is expected to be out three weeks because of a hamstring injury.

I still don’t trust this Wolves offense and their lack of scoring is going to let them down here. This Liverpool offense is still dealing with some major issues and they are going to really struggle to score here. Manchester City is currently the favorite sitting at -525 while the Wolves are the underdogs sitting at +1300. The total in this game is sitting at 3.5 goals with the over at +125 odds.

Manchester City currently sits in second place in the standings having picked up 42 points. Manchester City is trying to chase down Arsenal so every game they don’t pick up three points is a big missed opportunity. On Thursday they faced off against Tottenham Hotspur and were able to play to a 4-2 victory. They were down 2-0 at halftime, but four goals after the 51st minute allowed them to pick up a victory. Riyad Mahhrez scored in the 63rd and 90th minutes. Manchester City had 58 percent of the possession and six shots on target.  Manchester City is actually quite healthy heading into this game. Rico Lewis is dealing with an ankle injury and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be able to go here. Kevin De Bryne has missed some training this week, but he’s expected to play in this game. 

Wolves Betting Preview

On the other side of this matchup is the Wolves who sit in 16th place in the standings having picked up 17 points. On Tuesday the Wolves faced off in the FA Cup against Liverpool and they were defeated 1-0. Last Saturday against West Ham United, the Wolves were able to win 1-0. The Wolves had 59 percent of the possession and four shots on target. Even though they only scored one goal it was a pretty comfortable victory. Diego Costa is finally healthy again and he could move into the starting lineup in this game. Sasa Kalajdzic, Pedro Neto, Boubacar Traore, and Chiquinho are all still dealing with injuries and they aren’t going to be able to play in this game. In this game, if they want any chance they are going to need the defense to step up in a big way.

This over is one of my favorite plays of the weekend.  Manchester City’s offense has been strong heading into this game and they are going to continue the success scoring here. Their defense has had some issues though, and the Wolves are going to find the back a time or two. Manchester City can cover this over by themselves, and the over is going to cash here with ease.

West Ham United comes into this game sitting in 17th place in the standings having picked up 15 points. On Saturday, West Ham faced off against Brentford in the FA Cup last Saturday, and they were able to secure a 1-0 victory in that game. In their last Premier League game, they played against Leeds United, and that game ended in a 2-2 draw. Vladimir Coufal is dealing with a knee injury, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be able to go in this game. Maxwel Cornet is expected to return soon, but this game might be too early, In this game West Ham United needs to be comfortable pushing numbers forward. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Wolves, who sit in 19th place in the standings, having picked up 14 points. Wolverhampton faced off against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday in the EFL Cup, and they were defeated in that game on penalty kicks. Raul Jiminez scored in the 64th minute to tie the game, They had 66 percent of the possession and five shots on target, but only made five shots on target. Pedro Neto, Boubacar Traore, Sasa Kalajdzic, and Chiquinho are all still dealing with long term injuries, and they aren’t going to be able to go in this game. Max Kilman is back, and it’s expected that he’s going to move into the starting lineup in this game. 

The Wolves’ offense has been getting a little better as of late, but I still don’t trust them here. They still have so many major issues with the offense, and in the last game they still only managed a goal. Their defense is going to be good, and that is going to be enough to keep this game lower scoring. This game is going to finish 1-0 or 1-1 and this game is going to stay under the total.

Aston Villa comes into this game sitting in 12th place in the standings having picked up 21 points. On Sunday, Aston Villa faced off against Tottenham Hotspur, and they were able to secure a 2-0 victory. Emi Buendia and Douglas Luiz both scored in the second half to help secure the victory for Aston Villa. They had only 40 percent of the possession but out shot Tottenham 4-2. McGinn and Luiz both had to be removed from the last game because of injury, and it’s hard to imagine that either player is going to go here. If either player has to miss the game, it looks like it could be Morgan Sanson that will move into the starting lineup. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Wolves, who sits in 19th place in the standings having picked up 13 points. On Saturday, against Manchester United, the Wolves couldn’t get any offense going, and they ended up losing 1-0. The Wolves had 45 percent of the possession and three shots on target. Sasa Kalajdzic, Pedro Neto, and Chiquinho are all still injured, and they won’t be able to play in this game. This is still not an elite offensive team, but the defense hasn’t been good enough with how few goals they scored. They sit in 19th place, and they need to start winning games soon, or they could be relegated after this season. 

This Wolves team is awful, and even though Aston Villa isn’t at full strength, the Wolves are still going to struggle. The Wolves defense might be decent in this game, but Aston Villa will score at least a goal, and that is going to be the difference here. Back Aston Villa on the money line. I am also throwing a few dollars on Aston Villa 1-0.

On Tuesday Manchester United faced off against Nottingham Forest and they were able to secure the 3-0 victory. Marcus Rashford scored in the 19th minute and they never looked back as they cruised to the victory. Manchester United had 66 percent of the possession and eight shots on target. Victor Lindelof and Scott McTominay are both still dealing with illness and it’s unclear if they are going to be able to go in this game. Lisandro Martinez is back from the World Cup and he could get the start in this game. 

The Wolves won the last game, but this is a whole different beast going against Manchester United. Manchester United is coming off a game where they scored three goals, and they are going to score at least two goals off the Wolves here. The Wolves won’t be keeping up and Manchester United will secure the victory.

Everton comes into this game sitting in 17th place in the standings having picked up 14 points. While most teams had friendlies or games heading into this game, that wasn’t the case for Everton. The last game for Everton came on November 12th against AFC Bournemouth, and they were defeated 3-0 in that game. They had 65 percent of the possession and three shots on goal, but it wasn’t enough as they were defeated. Everton had lost three games in a row and there is some real concern about this team. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is dealing with a knee issue, and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go in this game. If he is able to go in this game, it’s expected that he will come off the bench. Conor Coady isn’t able to play either, going against his parent club.

On the other side of this matchup is the Wolves, who sit in 20th place in the standings, having picked up 10 points. The Wolves last game came on Tuesday in the EFL Cup against Gillingham. The Wolves scored two goals in that game and that led to the 2-0 victory. The Wolves had 25 shots, six shots on target, and two goals. Chiquinho, Pedro Neto, and Sasa Kalajdzic are all still dealing with injuries and won’t be able to go in this game. This is a huge game for the Wolves, and although they really need three points, they have to come away with at least one point. 

Being at home to Everton is a big boost, and this Wolves defense has had some major issues all season. This might not be a game where Everton scores three goals, but it should only take one or two goals to get the job done. Everton is going to score a couple of goals and will secure the victory.
