Two games ago against Everton they were defeated 1-0 and in the last game against Brentford they played to a 1-1 draw. Leandro Trossard scored in the 66th minute, to take the lead, but they gave up a goal in the 74th minute and that led to only one point picked up. Gabriel Jesus is getting closer to returning to the pitch from a knee injury but he’s still a couple of weeks away. Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson are both dealing with injuries and also won’t be able to go in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is Manchester City who sits in second place in the standings having picked up 48 points so far this season. In the last game against Aston Villa, Manchester City scored three goals and that led to the victory. Rodri started the scoring the 4th minute and there were three total goals scored in the first half. Manchester City had nine shots on target and 68 percent of the possession. This is the biggest game for both teams so far this season, and I really don’t have a strong play on the side. I do expect there will be strong defense by both teams though, and that is going to lead to this game being lower scoring. Manchester City vs Aston Villa Odds

John Stones suffered a hamstring injury and now he is expected to be out until March. Not having him is a big blow for Manchester City. Phil Foden is dealing with an illness but it’s expected that he’s going to be able to go in this game. Jed Steer and Diego Carlos are both still dealing with injuries and aren’t going to be able to go in this game. In this game Aston Villa is going to need the defense to be good, or it’s going to be a long game.

Manchester City has the issues off the field that they are dealing with, but on the field here I expect they are going to put on quite the show. Manchester City didn’t score any goals in the last game, but Aston Villa’s defense is a lot more leaky. Look for Manchester City to score at least four goals and that will be enough to find success. Pape Sarr is dealing with a hip injury and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be able to go in this game. In this game, Tottenham needs the defense to be strong and to try and make this game lower scoring.

Last Friday, Manchester City faced off against Arsenal in the FA Cup 4th round, and they were able to secure a 1-0 victory. Nathan Ake scored in the 64th minute. Manchester City had 54 percent of the possession and three shots on target. Rico Lewis looks to be the next big Manchester City star and it looks like he’s going to be a star here. John Stones is dealing with a thigh injury and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be able to go in this game.

Manchester City is trying to chase down Arsenal so every game they don’t pick up three points is a big missed opportunity. Wolves Betting Preview

On the other side of this matchup is the Wolves who sit in 16th place in the standings having picked up 17 points. On Tuesday the Wolves faced off in the FA Cup against Liverpool and they were defeated 1-0. Last Saturday against West Ham United, the Wolves were able to win 1-0. The Wolves had 59 percent of the possession and four shots on target. Even though they only scored one goal it was a pretty comfortable victory. Diego Costa is finally healthy again and he could move into the starting lineup in this game. Sasa Kalajdzic, Pedro Neto, Boubacar Traore, and Chiquinho are all still dealing with injuries and they aren’t going to be able to play in this game. In this game, if they want any chance they are going to need the defense to step up in a big way.

This over is one of my favorite plays of the weekend.  Manchester City’s offense has been strong heading into this game and they are going to continue the success scoring here. Their defense has had some issues though, and the Wolves are going to find the back a time or two. Manchester City can cover this over by themselves, and the over is going to cash here with ease.

Manchester City comes into this game sitting in second place in the standings having picked up 39 points. Last Saturday, Manchester City faced off against Manchester United and they were defeated 2-1. Jack Grealish opened up the scoring in the 60th minute, and it looked like they might pick up the three points. They gave up two goals after the 78th minute and that led to the defeat. Manchester City had 71 percent of the possession and one shot on target. Ruben Dias and John Stones missed the last game but they both could move back into the starting lineup in this game. Kevin De Bruyne has missed some training heading into this game but it’s expected that he’s going to be able to go in this game. In this game, Manchester United needs to find a way to get more shots on goal early in the game. 

Tottenham Hotspur Preview

Tottenham Hotspur currently sits in 5th place in the standings having picked up 33 points. Tottenham’s biggest issue has been inconsistency and they are coming off a game where they really struggled. The defense gave up two goals to Arsenal and that led to the defeat. Tottenham had 51 percent of the possession and seven shots on target, but it wasn’t enough as they were defeated. Tottenham Hotspur is pretty healthy heading into this game. The only real injury concern is Lucas Moura who is dealing with a tendon issue, and won’t be able to go in this game. 

Pick

Manchester City is going to have very few issues getting the job done in this game. Manchester City struggled in the last game, but overall they have been the more consistent team. Tottenham is going to struggle to have any quality scoring chances here, and that will be the difference as Manchester City is going to get the job done. Back Manchester City -1.5 goals to cash.
