Missouri comes into this matchup ranked #21 in the country and they are coming off of a dominating win against Oklahoma, but they will be on the road for this game. The Tigers did lose to Texas A&M and Tennessee prior to that Oklahoma game, but this Georgia team is not as difficult to play against. Georgia has lost three of their last four games and they only scored 53 points in their last game against Texas A&M. The Bulldogs are shooting 46% from the field this year, but they have scored 75+ points in two of their last three games. Georgia has been pretty solid at home this year, but they have struggled to beat anyone good over the last few weeks. Take Missouri here.

Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview

Georgia kicked off the year on a pretty nice run. Once the calendar flipped over to 2025 however, the Bulldogs began to struggle in the record column. Georgia hit a 12-1 run in their first 13 outings, losing to only Marquette alongside wins over Tennessee Tech, Texas Southern, North Florida, Georgia Tech, Alabama A&M, St. John’s, Jacksonville, Notre Dame, Grand Canyon, Buffalo, Charleston Southern and South Carolina State. A 2-5 stretch came next with wins over Kentucky and Oklahoma alongside losses to Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas and Florida. Since then it’s been a 2-2 run for the Bulldogs with wins over South Carolina and LSU amid losses to Alabama and Mississippi State, giving Georgia a 16-8 overall run through the first 24 outings of the season so far.

In the Mississippi State game on Saturday, the Bulldogs came out of the locker room with a 40-32 deficit. Georgia got better in the second, recovering on a 43-36 stretch but it wasn’t enough in a 76-75 defeat. Leading scorer Silas Demary posted 23 points with six rebounds and seven assists. Asa Newell added 16 points with four rebounds and three steals, while Dakota Leffew put up 12 points with two rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes of action.

Texas A&M Aggies Betting Preview

Over on the Aggies’ side, they’ve really got only a rough five-game stretch in the books this year. Otherwise it’s been a very nice run overall. Texas A&M went 4-2 in their first six games with losses to UCF and Oregon, beating East Texas A&M, Lamar, Ohio State and Southern otherwise in that time. Wins over Creighton, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Texas Tech, Purdue, Houston Christian, Abilene Christian, Texas and Oklahoma came next, then losses to Alabama and Kentucky. Since then Texas A&M has been on a 5-1 run with a lone loss to Texas among wins over LSU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Missouri in that time. The result so far has been an 18-5 overall run through 23 games for the Aggies.

In the Missouri game on Saturday, the Aggies were in firm control 38-29 by halftime. Texas A&M let up a little bit in the second on a 35-29 deficit but still held on for the win 67-64 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Pharrel Payne with 20 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal. Wade Taylor chipped in 15 points, and Zhuric Phelps added 14 points with two boards and two steals. Henry Coleman notched a team-high 16 rebounds along with his six points in 31 minutes of work as well.

Why the Texas A&M Aggies will win

Texas A&M vs Georgia Prediction

I’ll stick with the Aggies. Texas A&M took out a pretty darn good Missouri team on the road in their last outing, thanks to a pretty solid 45.3 percent shooting and 34 rebounds. The Aggies did cough up 13 turnovers for 18 Tigers points in a fairly sloppy overall game (27 total turnovers) and went just 14-of-23 (60.9 percent) from the line. There’s plenty to clean up here, even after a nice win. That said, Texas A&M is 5-1 in their last six games and they’ve held opponents below 69 points in four of those six.

As for Georgia, they’ve been scoring pretty well lately but they’re also giving up quite a bit on the other side. The Bulldogs have 69 or more points in each of the last four games (a 2-2 run) so we should have a pretty decent total here. All things considered though, the Aggies should be in control.

I’m on the Georgia Bulldogs here. I get why Mississippi State could be worth a look if this game was at home for Mississippi State, as Georgia on the road has not been very good. However, the Georgia Bulldogs have been stellar at home with their lone loss coming in a 2-point game against the Auburn Tigers, who sans Johni Broome in that game, are still arguably the best team in the country. Mississippi State for my money is lucky to not be riding a seven-game losing skid coming into this game and I think Georgia at home is worth the look to get the job done. Give me Georgia.

I’m on Alabama in this one. I get why you could look at Georgia, as this is still a young Georgia team with a lot of talent. However, the Bulldogs also have had issues competing and keeping games close on the road, losing to the likes of Florida by 30 and Tennessee by 18 as well as Ole Miss by 12 scoring just 51 points. I think that Alabama is too potent offensively for Georgia to keep pace with here and as such, I’ll roll with the Crimson Tide in this one.

Georgia does typically play well at home, but they need to play much better defense than they did against Florida. South Carolina is still looking for their first conference win of the season and they are shooting just 43.5% from the field this year. The Gamecocks have been in plenty of close games, but they seem to always find a way to lose. I think this game could go either way, especially with South Carolina keeping four of their last five games close, so give me the points with the Gamecocks.

Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview

Georgia has a pretty good record so far this year, but the team has fallen on some spotty times in the record column lately. All went well through the first 13 games though, as Georgia put up a nice 12-1 run during that time. The Bulldogs fell to only Marquette on November 23, otherwise dispatching Tennessee Tech, Texas Southern, North Florida, Georgia Tech, Alabama A&M, St. John’s, Jacksonville, Notre Dame, Grand Canyon, Buffalo, Charleston Southern and South Carolina State along the way. Over the last six games however, Georgia has limped to a 2-4 run. The Bulldogs took out only Kentucky and Oklahoma in that half-dozen outing span. The losses otherwise came versus Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn and Arkansas in a string of tough opponents, giving Georgia a 14-5 overall record through the first 19 games this year.

In the Arkansas matchup on Wednesday, the Bulldogs were sitting pretty by halftime sporting a 38-26 advantage. Georgia was blitzed in the second half however, and got pummeled 42-27 on the way to a rough loss 68-65. Asa Newell led the team in the defeat with 18 points and eight rebounds with one steal. RJ Godfrey added 11 points with three rebounds. Somto Cyril and Se’Shayne Montgomery each had five points off the bench with a combined seven boards.

Florida Gators Betting Preview

Over on the Florida side, they’ve been a remarkably consistent team so far this year. The Gators have only a couple of blemishes in the books through 19 games. A win streak opened up the year through their first 13, as Florida dispatched South Florida, Jacksonville, Grambling, Florida State, Florida A&M, Southern Illinois, Wake Forest, Wichita State, Virginia, Arizona State, North Carolina, North Florida and Stetson. The Gators would take their first loss on January 4 to Kentucky 106-100, but then rattled off a couple more wins over Tennessee and Arkansas in the ensuing pair. Florida would lose again to Missouri, but then took out Texas and South Carolina for a 17-2 overall record so far this season.

Matched up against South Carolina in their Wednesday outing, the Gators were in trouble at halftime with a 36-29 deficit. Florida cleaned up their act in the second, notching a 41-33 run for a 70-69 victory in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Will Richard with 22 points, four boards and three steals. Walter Clayton added 16 points with seven assists and four rebounds, while Alijah Martin put up 14 points with three steals, two assists and two rebounds.

Florida vs Georgia Prediction

I’m going to stay with Florida. The Gators need to post a bounce-back effort here after a too-close-for-comfort one-point win over a middling South Carolina team in their last game. Florida ended up shooting 42.4 percent from the field in that one and got outmuscled on the glass 36-31. The Gators notched 22 points off 15 Gamecocks turnovers though, which really helped fuel the comeback bid. Florida has been quite the reliable scoring team so far this year. They’ve hit 70 or more points in all 19 games so far.

As for Georgia, they didn’t post their greatest effort versus Arkansas despite holding the Razorbacks to just 31 percent shooting. The Bulldogs were out-rebounded 40-30 along the way and had 13 turnovers for 14 Arkansas points. Georgia has been below 69 points in three straight games (all losses) and this will be another tough matchup in what’s been a difficult string of games. I don’t think Georgia has the muscle to keep up with Florida, especially if the Gators return to form and play to their capabilities.

Hard to make a case for Arkansas given its current form. The Georgia Bulldogs are the more battle-tested team, which includes beating Kentucky recently and losing to Auburn by two points. Georgia will also have the best player on the floor. I kind of expect Georgia to win this game outright, but I’ll grab the bucket for insurance.

The Auburn Tigers are 16-1 (4-0) this year after they defeated Mississippi State by a score of 88-66 in their last game. Chad Baker-Mazara led Auburn with 20 points and two rebounds, while Chaney Johnson added 17 points and eight rebounds in the game.

Auburn comes into this matchup with just one loss on the season and they are ranked #1 in the country, but they will be on the road for this game and most likely without their best player. On the other side of the court, Auburn is allowing just 66.0 points against per game and has allowed 68 points or fewer in four of their last five. Georgia was just blown out by Tennessee in their last game, but they will be at home, where they just beat Oklahoma and Kentucky by double digits. The Bulldogs are also a very good defensive team and I think they could beat Auburn here, especially if Broome doesn’t play. Take Georgia at home.

Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview

Georgia kicked off their season on a promising run, and they’ve maintained form for most of their campaign so far. The Bulldogs beat Tennessee Tech, Texas Southern, North Florida, Georgia Tech, and Alabama A&M in their first five games of the season before a loss to Marquette. Another winning streak ensued after that, as the Bulldogs dispatched St. John’s, Jacksonville, Notre Dame, Grand Canyon, Buffalo, Charleston Southern, and South Carolina State before their second loss to Ole Miss. Since then it’s been consecutive wins over ranked teams in Kentucky and Oklahoma, giving the Bulldogs a 14-2 overall record this season so far.

In the Oklahoma matchup over the weekend, the Bulldogs came out of the break with a 36-33 deficit. Georgia came alive in the second half on a 39-26 run however, powering out a comeback win 72-62 in the end. Asa Newell posted 15 points with five rebounds and two blocks as the high starter, while Dakota Leffew had 15 points and two boards in 21 minutes of work off the bench. Also in double-figures for the Bulldogs during the victory was Silas Demary with 10 points, eight boards, four assists, and three steals in 31 minutes on the court.

Tennessee Volunteers Betting Preview

Over on the Tennessee side, they’ve been great so far this year. The Volunteers have only one blemish on the schedule, and since then they’ve gotten right back into the win column. Tennessee took out Gardner-Webb, Louisville, Montana, Austin Peay, Virginia, Baylor, TN-Martin, Syracuse, Miami, Illinois, Western Carolina, Middle Tennessee, Norfolk State, and Arkansas during a 14-0 opening run. Following their first (and so far only) loss to Florida on January 7, the Vols came back with a four-point win versus Texas for a 15-1 record this year.

Matched up against Texas on Saturday, Tennessee held a 33-31 edge by halftime. The Volunteers kept the pressure on in the second, posting a 41-39 run for a 74-70 victory in the end. Zakai Zeigler led the team with 16 points, three rebounds, and eight assists along the way. Both Jordan Gainey (two assists) and Darlinstone Dubar (six rebounds) had 12 points apiece off the bench, and Chaz Lanier chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds in the start.

Why the Tennessee Volunteers will win

• Tennessee has won each of its last 15 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
• Georgia has lost each of its last five road games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.

Tennessee vs Georgia Prediction

I’m going to take a stab at Georgia. The Bulldogs have their hands full with a tough matchup here, but if all goes well I think they can get in there. Georgia rolled right past a very good Oklahoma team in their last outing, shooting 42.9 percent from the field with a 41-33 rebounding edge and 15 points off 12 Sooners turnovers. There’s plenty to improve on though, like the 3-of-17 (17.6 percent) from 3-point range and the 13 turnovers. That said, it was quite a promising victory effort. Georgia has 69 or more points in all but two games so far this year, and they’ve hit 72 or more in each of the last six wins.

As for Tennessee, they got right back down to business against Texas following their lone loss this year. In the win over the Longhorns, the Vols ended up shooting 44.6 percent from the field with a nice 41-27 rebounding edge. Tennessee was a little careless with the ball however, resulting in 15 turnovers for 21 Longhorns points. The Volunteers have posted 74 or more points in four of the last six games (a 5-1 run), so it wouldn’t be surprising to see a hefty total in this one. Georgia is going to have to push hard on offense but I think they can pull this one off.

The Oklahoma Sooners lost to Alabama and Texas A&M, and they play Texas, South Carolina, and Arkansas next. Duke Miles is the third double-digit scorer and Kobe Elvis is grabbing 2.2 rebounds. The Oklahoma Sooners are shooting 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 81 percent from the free throw line. The Oklahoma Sooners are allowing 28.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 30 rebounds per game.

The Georgia Bulldogs don’t have a player listed on their injury report. The Oklahoma Sooners will continue to be without Jadon Jones and Jeff Newankwo.

The Georgia Bulldogs are in a letdown spot after beating Kentucky on Tuesday as a small dog. It’s why i considered the points. The problem is the Oklahoma Sooners are heading in the wrong direction with back-to-back losses and failed covers in each of their last four games. Oklahoma has a defensive issue in these losses, allowing a combined 187 points in its last two games. Not ideal when going up against a Georgia offense that shoots better than 48 percent from the field and averages 80.5 points. Georgia is 10-0 SU at home. If Georgia is serious about competing for the SEC crown this season, this is a game it wins and doesn’t get content after beating Kentucky. I’ll lay the points with the Bulldogs.

Kentucky Wildcats Betting Preview

Kentucky opened the season on a tear, winning each of their first seven outings. Those victories came versus Wright State, Bucknell, Duke, Lipscomb, Jackson State, Western Kentucky, and Georgia State in succession. The Wildcats took their first loss of the year on December 3 versus Clemson 70-66 but then won the next three matchups versus Gonzaga, Colgate, and Louisville. Since then it’s been a 1-2 stretch for Kentucky. Following a loss to Ohio State, the Wildcats rebounded with consecutive wins over Brown and Florida.

Kentucky last played on Saturday versus the Gators. The Wildcats jumped out to a commanding 52-42 lead by halftime, then cruised on a 58-54 second half, hanging on for the eventual 106-100 victory against a very tough opponent. All five starters finished the game in double-figures, but Koby Brea led everyone on the team with 23 points and one rebound in 22 minutes off the bench. Leading the starters was Lamont Butler with his 19 points, eight assists, and three steals. Otega Oweh wasn’t too far behind with 16 points, four rebounds, and two steals, while Amari Williams chipped in with 15 points, eight boards and five assists.

Over on the Georgia side, they opened the season on a string of wins as well. The Bulldogs got past Tennessee Tech, Texas Southern, North Florida, Georgia Tech, and Alabama A&M for a 5-0 start. Georgia’s first loss came on November 23 versus Marquette, but another win streak ensued afterward versus St. John’s, Jacksonville, Notre Dame, Grand Canyon, Buffalo, Charleston Southern and South Carolina State. The Bulldogs saw their streak snapped in their last outing versus Ole Miss however, resulting in a 12-2 record so far this season.

In the Ole Miss game on Saturday, the Bulldogs came out of the break looking at a 28-26 advantage on the scoreboard. Georgia faltered mightily in the second half however, getting drilled 37-23 on the way to a fairly listless loss 63-51. Leading the team in scoring—and the only player on the team in double-figures—was Asa Newell with 13 points, 13 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks for a double-double. Tyrin Lawrence added eight points and three steals, while De’Shayne Montgomery led the bench scoring with six points and one rebound.

Why the Georgia Bulldogs will win

Why the Kentucky Wildcats will win

• Georgia has lost each of its last eight games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.

• Georgia has lost the first half in each of its last six games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.

Georgia vs Kentucky Prediction

I’ll lean toward Kentucky, but this should be a highly interesting matchup that you could argue either way. The Wildcats took out a very good Florida squad in their last outing thanks to a stellar 57.8 percent shooting from the field and 25 team assists alongside just six turnovers. Kentucky did slow down in the second half compared to the Gators and ended up allowing Florida to shoot 55 percent from the floor. Still, it was a great win. That makes 78 or more points in five of the last six games (all five were wins), with 88 or more points in four of those.

As for Georgia, they couldn’t quite figure out a great Ole Miss squad in their last game. The Bulldogs ended up shooting a miserable 29.3 percent from the field with just 2-of-18 (11.1 percent) from 3-point range and 15 turnovers for 15 Rebels points. It was the Bulldogs’ lowest-scoring game of the year by quite a margin, so it’s probably safe to say they’ll eclipse that total here. Georgia had posted 69 or more points in six straight games prior to that, and the Bulldogs will need another good scoring outing in order to keep up with Kentucky. In the end, however, I don’t think Georgia will quite get there. Regardless of what happens, it’ll be a fun one to watch, though.

Ole Miss has won five of their last six games, with their only other loss coming against Purdue by two points. Ole Miss has scored 80.8 points per game and they have allowed 65.5 points per game, while also averaging 35.2 rebounds and 16.4 assists per game this season. Sean Pedulla is averaging 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, while Jaylen Murray is averaging 13.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game this year. Ole Miss is shooting 45.4% from the field, 73.9% on free throws, and 35.4% on three-pointers this year. Ole Miss will take on Arkansas after this game.

Ole Miss vs Georgia Prediction 

Both of these teams come into this matchup after successful non-conference schedules, but Ole Miss is coming off of a loss against a decent Memphis team. The Rebels are ranked #24 in the country, but their only solid win was against Louisville. Ole Miss is shooting 45.4% from the field and they have allowed 62 points or fewer in four of their last five. Georgia only has one loss on the season, but they do have wins against Notre Dame and St. John’s. The Bulldogs are shooting over 50% from the field and they have solid defensive numbers, but those are boosted because of a weak schedule. I don’t think either of these teams is as good as their records would indicate and I do think they are pretty evenly matched, so I will take the points with Georgia.

Notre Dame comes into this matchup on a lengthy winning streak and they have been very impressive over the last few months. Georgia is coming off of an overtime victory in the SEC Title game, but they will be without their starting quarterback here. The Bulldogs have a very solid defense, but I am worried about their offense in this game. Notre Dame’s defense is very good and I think Stockton is going to struggle to consistently put drives together. Take the Fighting Irish to get the win.

Buffalo Bulls Betting Preview

The Bulls went 4-3 over their first seven outings, beating Old Dominion, Fredonia State, Morgan State, and North Carolina A&T. It’s been a 1-2 run since then with losses to Penn State and St. Bonaventure around a win over Pittsburgh-Bradford.

I’ll lean toward the Bulldogs, but the line’s too thick to mess with. Georgia had a spotty second half against a pesky Grand Canyon team in their last outing and ended up with 18 turnovers. Everything worked out well, though. The Bulldogs have had a few relatively close finishes like that this year. Games against St. John’s and Tennessee Tech—as well as the loss to Marquette—featured Georgia at less than their best. Will that happen here as well? Probably not.

Georgia sure played with fire in the last game against Georgia Tech. Georgia needed a late comeback to even tie the game and then it took until the 8th overtime to come out on top. Carson Beck started his game out slow but played better as the game went on, and he completed the game by throwing 28 of his 43 passes for 297 yards. Cash Jones finished the game with four catches for 53 yards and a touchdown. This isn’t the same dominant team as Georgia in years past, but they still have everything in front of them.

Even with a loss Texas is probably in the college football playoff, but a win in this game would make quite the statement. Texas in the last game faced off against Texas A&M and the offense wasn’t exactly elite, but they were still able to secure the 17-7 victory. Quinn Ewers completed 17 of his 28 passes for 218 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Quintrevion Winser had a huge game rushing 33 times for 138 yards. Archie Manning also had a rushing touchdown, and it wouldn’t be shocking for him to play a role in this game either. 

Texas is averaging 34.8 points while their defense is giving up 11.6 points per game. The offense is ranked 21st in the league while the defense is ranked 2nd. The defense needs to really put the pressure on Beck to try and throw him off the game.

Everyone seems to be counting out Georgia, but I think they find success here. They might not be the same team as the Georgia of the past, but don’t let that fool you, they are still as talented as the Longhorns.
