I’m on the over in this game. The only reason I’m not laying the points with Duke is because the Blue Devils as a big favorite as of late, have had a tendency to take their foot off of the gas and coast to the finish line, winning by margin but failing to cover the point spread. That being said, the offense hasn’t dipped, as Duke’s still scoring 80+ PPG in conference play this year and 82+ PPG at home this season. The only reason the Cal game didn’t go over was because Cal was held to 57 points, but this is still a decent Stanford offense and I don’t know if Duke will have an answer for a tower like Maxime Reynaud. I think this is going to be a higher-scoring game here, so give me the over in this one.

I’m on the over in this game. I can easily make a case for both sides here, as this is a huge line but Duke could cover it and we’ve seen Cal get crushed in some spots already but this is also a decent Cal team that could show some fight here. Duke’s averaging around 80 PPG in conference play and I think that’s attainable for the Blue Devils here which would mean we’d need about 65 points to hit the over and that’s a number Cal has hit with regularity for the most part in conference play. Give me the over in this one.

Duke Blue Devils Betting Preview

Duke has been one of the most consistent teams in the nation so far. They’re sitting on a long streak of wins, last tasting defeat way back in late November. The Devils opened on a 4-2 run with losses to Kentucky and Kansas among wins over Maine, Army, Wofford and Arizona. Since then Duke has hit a victory stretch over Seattle U, Auburn, Louisville, Incarnate Word, George Mason, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, SMU, Pitt, Notre Dame, Miami, Boston College, Wake Forest, NC State, North Carolina and Syracuse in succession. That gives the Blue Devils a very nice 20-2 overall run through their first 22 games of the 2025-25 season so far.

In the Syracuse matchup back on Wednesday, the Blue Devils kicked off the first half with a commanding run 37-23. Duke kept it strong in the second half with a 46-31 advantage, eventually taking the victory 83-54 in blowout fashion on the road. Leading the team in scoring was Tyrese Proctor with 16 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal. Kon Knueppel added 12 points with two rebounds and two steals, while Cooper Flagg put up 11 points with five rebounds and two assists. Tops off the bench was Isaiah Evans with 10 points and four assists.

Clemson Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Tigers’ side, they’ve been quite the consistent team themselves. Clemson has only lost consecutive games once so far this year. The Tigers beat Charleston Southern, St. Francis PA, Eastern Kentucky, Radford, San Francisco, Penn State, Florida A&M, Kentucky and Miami (with a loss to Boise State) during a 9-1 opening stretch. Following a 3-3 run that featured losses to Memphis, South Carolina and Louisville, the Tigers hit another win streak over Florida State, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and NC State. Clemson’s latest outing was a tough loss to Georgia Tech however, giving the Tigers an 18-5 record through 23 games.

In the rematch versus Georgia Tech at home on Tuesday, the Tigers kicked off the first half on a 34-33 advantage. Clemson eventually slipped and had to go to overtime, filing 89-86 after two extra periods. Tops in scoring was Chase Hunter with 28 points, seven boards, four assists and five steals. Ian Schieffelin wasn’t far behind on 23 points with eight rebounds, three blocks and one assist, while Chauncey Wiggins added 15 points with six boards and two steals.

Why the Clemson Tigers will win

• Clemson has won 11 of its last 12 night games at Littlejohn Coliseum.
• Duke has lost three of its last four games at Littlejohn Coliseum against non-AP-ranked opponents.
• Clemson has won the first half in each of its last 10 night games at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Why the Duke Blue Devils will win

• Duke has won each of its last 18 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
• Clemson has lost 32 of its last 42 night games against AP-ranked opponents.
• Duke has won the first half in 13 of its last 14 road games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Clemson vs Duke Prediction

I’m going to stay with Duke here, but you could argue it either way. Some of the luster has worn off this matchup following the Tigers’ loss to Georgia Tech, but it should still be a fun matchup. In any case, the Blue Devils had no trouble at all with Syracuse during their latest blowout road win, shooting a nice 56.6 percent from the field with 23 points off 14 Orange turnovers. Duke is cruising right now, as they’ve hit 70 or more points in 14 of the 16 wins during this current streak.

As for Clemson, they shot a rough 36.4 percent from the field with a 56-46 rebounding deficit in their 2OT loss to Georgia Tech. The Tigers also gave up 13 turnovers for 16 Yellow Jackets points—they won’t be able to do that against Duke.

Even so, you could still make a valid case for Clemson powering one out at home here. The Tigers have been close in most of their five losses this year, as three of them have gone to overtime. Still, with the Blue Devils demolishing all comers these days, I’m leaning more toward Duke on Saturday. Should still be a fun one to watch, though.

Can Syracuse Shock Everyone?

No one is giving Syracuse much of a shot to win this game, and probably for good reason, they have had issues this season. Even though they have had issues, they are coming off one of their biggest wins of the season in the last game. Syracuse scored 75 points against the California Golden Bears and that was enough for the nine-point victory. At halftime, they were up 40-23 and they never looked back on the way to the victory. Guard Lucas Taylor had a strong game putting up 19 points and seven rebounds. 

Syracuse overall this season sits with a 10-12 record and they have gone 11-10-1 against the spread. Syracuse is averaging 74.2 points while their defense is giving up 77 points per game. This is a team that can score, but their defense has been a problem and they are going to need the defense to be better. JJ Starling is having a strong season and he’s averaging 17.9 points while shooting 42.9 percent from the field. Donnie Freeman is averaging 13.9 points per game but he’s dealing with a leg injury and he’s still out. 

Duke Can’t Slip Up

Duke has played well all season but this isn’t a game they can overlook. In the last game, Duke faced off against North Carolina and they played well. The offense scored 87 points and they ended up winning by 17 points. Duke shot 52.8 percent from the field and 50 percent from behind the three-point line. They also hit 21 of their 25 free throws. Kon Knueppel put up 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Cooper Flagg is probably going to be the top pick of the draft and he put up 21 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. 

Duke sits with a 19-2 record overall and they have gone 13-8 against the spread. Duke is averaging 80.3 points while their defense is giving up 60 points per game. The offense is ranked 50th in the league while the defense is ranked 5th in the league. One of the most impressive parts of this team is the first-half defense. They are giving up only 28.86 points per first half which is the best in the league. Cooper Flagg is averaging 20 points while shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from behind the three-point line. Duke will meet Clemson, Cal, and Stanford after this game.

Why Duke Will Beat Syracuse 

• Duke has won each of its last 15 games.
• Syracuse has lost 12 of its last 13 night games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.
• Syracuse has lost the first half in 24 of its last 30 games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.

Syracuse vs Duke Prediction

It might be tempting to take Syracuse here because of their win in the last game, but there is no chance I am ready to take that leap. Syracuse’s defense has been a problem all season and they are giving up 77 points per game. Duke in the last game scored 87 points and they are going to go even higher than that here. The Syracuse defense has no one that can slowdown Flagg and that will be the difference here. Back Duke to win this game and cover the spread.

Duke Looks to Lean on the Defense

All the talk heading into this game has been about the defense and how they think their defense can lead them to the success. Duke just keeps racking up wins, and in the last game against the Pitt Panthers the defense dominated. They gave up only 47 points while the offense scored 76 points on the way to the easy victory. The defense was good, but the offense was even better, shooting 50 percent from the field and 51 percent from behind the three-point line. Cooper Flagg had another strong game putting up 19 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Each of the five starters finished with at least 10 points. 

Duke is averaging 80 points per game, while their defense is giving up 58.4 points per game. The offense is ranked 74th in the league while the defense is ranked 5th, They are averaging 16.8 assists per game which is 46th in the league. Cooper Flagg is averaging 17.5 points while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from behind the three-point line. There were three different players who averaged at least 11 points per game. 

Can Notre Dame Shock the World?

Notre Dame is going through a rebuild and they have really struggled for most of the season. Notre Dame is struggling and they have lost three games in a row. In te haslt game against NC State they were competitive, but they but they scored only 65 points and that led to the defeat. Markus Burton put up 15 points and four assists. Tae Davis also put up 14 poins, seven rebounds, and six assists. Two games ago against North Carolina they were also competitive, but they ended up losing 74-73.

In this game if they want any chance they are going to need the offense to step up. If the offense struggles, this is probably going to be a very long game. Duke Blue Devils Betting Preview

The Blue Devils opened up on a nice run this year with five straight wins. Duke would then fall to Georgia Tech, SMU and Miami over the next four games before three more victories over NC State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest to finish things off.

Matched up against Wake Forest back on November 30, the Blue Devils came out of the third quarter with a 17-10 deficit. Duke stormed back with 13 unanswered points in a 23-17 win, though. QB Maalik Murphy had 235 yards with one TD and one pick, while Jordan Moore caught five balls for 98 yards and the score.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

Over on the Ole Miss side, they won their first four outings before falling to Kentucky and LSU in a three-game span. The Rebels are 4-1 since then with wins over Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia and Mississippi State alongside a lone loss to Florida.

In their November 29 matchup with Mississippi State, the Rebels were ahead by just three points going into the second half. Ole Miss cruised on a 9-0 run from there and won 26-14, though. Jaxson Dart threw for 143 yards and a TD. Ulysses Bentley added 20 carries for 136 yards and a touchdown of his own.

I’ll stay with Ole Miss, but you could argue this one either way. It seems a fairly generous line for Duke. In any case, the Rebels started pretty slowly versus a struggling Mississippi State team in their last game but eventually pulled off the two-score win on 21 first downs and 397 total yards (254 rushing). The Rebels have scored 26 or more points in five of their last six games—a 4-2 stretch—and they’ve held opponents to 14 points or fewer in three of their last five.

As for Duke, they needed a big fourth quarter to power past Wake Forest in their last game despite holding the Deacons to a tepid 318 total yards. The Devils had a couple of turnovers in that one and went only 5-of-13 on third-down tries, so they could use a cleaner effort here. That said, Duke has put up 23 or more points in six straight games, going 4-2 with a pair of losses to ranked teams in SMU and Miami. The Blue Devils have just two non-overtime losses this year and gave up more than 24 points in just one of that pair (53 to Miami). Ole Miss’ offense has their work cut out for them, but I like the Rebels to pull it off.
