Additionally, I like Zach Collaros’s matchup in this CFL game. Why? Winnipeg quarterback Zach Collaros draws a Toronto Argonauts defense that has had issues defending opposing quarterbacks this season. Let me be more specific. Upon the completion of 18 games played in the 2024 CFL regular season, the Toronto Argonauts ranked a rather low seventh in total yards allowed to the quarterback position a game (278.3). Keep in mind that the CFL has nine teams in the entire league. Having stated that, being ranked seventh in any defensive category is not good.

In my opinion, quarterback Zach Collaros is the most likely player to post the most Draftkings points in this week’s 111th Grey Cup game. For that specific reason, I am backing Winnipeg Blue Bombers starting quarterback Zach Collaros as a flex play for this one game Draftkings CFL Showdown contest.

Brady Olivera, Running Back, Winnipeg Blue Bombers $12,500

In addition to Zach Collaros, talented Winnipeg running back Brady Olivera has certainly been a key contributor to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers offense in 2024. Let’s review Olivera’s game data from the 2024 CFL regular season to better shed light on my previous statement.

In the 13 games that running back Brady Olivera played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 2024 CFL regular season, Olivera tallied a massive 1,472 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 59 receptions, 498 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown.

Looking closer at the data just presented, in the 13 games that Brady Olivera has played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers this season, Olivera has averaged an impressive 17.1 Draftkings points a contest.

In conclusion, I fully expect talented Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Brady Olivera to continue his outstanding play in the 111th Grey Cup on Sunday night.

The Montreal Alouettes are obviously the better team, and getting them as an underdog is something you won’t see often. However, the Alouettes have nothing to play for with a bye week already locked up in the first round of the playoffs. Oddsmakers clearly believe the Alouettes will rest guys. The BC Lions may be in spotty form, but they’re still fighting for playoff positioning, and having something to play for gives them the edge. Also, the Lions have won 5 of the last 6 games against the Alouettes, including a game in early September as 3.5 point dogs. Give me BC to get a big home win.

Neither the Argonauts nor Redblacks have anything to play for at this stage, as they’ll meet again in the playoffs in a couple of weeks. So, it’s going to be interesting how both sides manage the game. With that said, the Redblacks are racking up the losses and are in poor form overall. The Argonauts and their top scoring offense in the CFL could take full advantage of that. Also, the Argonauts have won 8 of the last 10 games against the Redblacks and have covered 7 of those games. Give me the Argonauts by a touchdown on Saturday afternoon.

The Stampeders haven’t won a game in over two months, and they’re one of the worst teams at both ends of the field. Also, the Montreal Alouettes have won 7 straight games against the Redblacks, and they’ve covered 5 of those games. The Alouettes have won the 2 games against the Redblacks this season by an average of 19 points. I’ll take the Alouettes at home by a touchdown based on the dominance these last few seasons.

Montreal running back Walter Fletcher has been a key contributor to the Montreal Alouettes offense in 2024. Let’s review Fletcher’s recent game data to better shed light on my previous statement.

I’m not running to the window to back either the Elks or Stampeders in their current form, but seeing Calgary as a favorite is nuts. The Stampeders have done nothing well this season and haven’t won a game in over two months. The Elks have beaten the Stampeders twice this season already, and their scoring offense that’s best in the league does give them the edge. The Stamps are favored simply because they’re at home, and I’m just not buying it. Give me the free points with the Elks in a game they could win outright.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are a tough team to step in front of because they’ve won 8 straight games, and they’ve covered 7 of their last 10 games. It’s easy to ride the hot hand until it runs cold. However, the Toronto Argonauts beat the Blue Bombers back in July and enter this game with an extra week to prepare. I love my dogs that have the rest advantage. The Argonauts have the best scoring offense and are the best at running the football and stopping the run. This game won’t be easy for the Blue Bombers. Give me the Argonauts and the points.

Right when it looked like the Edmonton Elks were turning the corner, they get their boots smoked by the Blue Bombers in back to back weeks. I don’t know what to think of the Elks at this point. The Saskatchewan Roughriders put together back to back nice wins, and they have a defense that travels. This game is far more important to the Roughriders in terms of potential playoff hopes. The Roughriders are in better form and have more on the line. I’ll lay the field goal.

I like Cody Fajardo’s chances of continuing to play quality football versus the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday night. For that specific reason, I am backing Montreal Alouettes quarterback at the flex position for this one game Draftkings CFL DFS contest.

In addition to Cody Fajardo, running back Walter Fletcher has been a key contributor to the Montreal Alouettes offense in 2024. Let’s review Fletcher’s recent game data to better shed light on my previous statement.

How important has wide receiver Charleston Rambo been to the Montreal Alouettes offense this season? In the 14 games that Charleston Rambo has played for the Alouettes in the 2024 CFL regular season, Montreal quarterbacks have targeted Rambo a robust 76 times. In those 76 targets just mentioned, Rambo compiled 51 receptions, 758 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns.

It is noteworthy that these two teams have met twice previously earlier in the season. How did Rambo perform in those two games? Let’s look at the relevant game data to answer that question.
