In this article we will formulate a San Francisco vs Pacific prediction for this College Basketball game on Thursday, February 20th at The Sobrato Center in San Francisco, California. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

San Francisco Dons Betting Preview

The San Francisco Dons are 21-7 (11-4) this season after they defeated San Diego by a score of 84-61 in their last game. San Francisco led 42-31 at halftime and added 42 more points in the second half in the win. The Dons shot 46.8% from the field, 45% on three pointers, and 68% on free throws in the game. Marcus Williams led San Francisco with 23 points and seven rebounds, while Malik Thomas added 20 points and five rebounds in the win.

Prior to that victory, the Dons lost to Gonzaga by a score of 88-77, but did beat Loyola Marymount by a score of 72-66 before that. San Francisco has won five of their last six games and they are currently third in the WCC standings with an 11-4 record. San Francisco has scored 75.8 points per game and they have allowed 67.4 points against per game, while also averaging 35 rebounds and 13.9 assists per game this season. Malik Thomas is averaging 19.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, while Marcus Williams is averaging 14.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game this year. San Francisco is shooting 45.7% from the field, 70.6% on free throws, and 34.7% on three pointers this season.

Pacific Tigers Betting Preview

The Pacific Tigers are 9-20 (4-11) this year after they lost to Oregon State by a score of 79-65 in their last game. Pacific was tied at 40 at halftime, but they only scored 25 points in the second half in the loss. The Tigers shot 46.7% from the field, 54.5% on three pointers, and 73.9% on free throws in the game. Lamar Washington led Pacific with 16 points and six rebounds, while Elijah Fisher added 14 points and three rebounds in the loss.

Prior to that game, the Tigers defeated Loyola Marymount by a score of 83-58, but did lose to Gonzaga by a score of 78-61 before that. Pacific has alternated wins and losses over their last seven games and they are currently second to last in the WCC standings with a 4-11 record. Pacific has scored 69.7 points per game and they have allowed 74.8 points against per game, while also averaging 34.6 rebounds and 12.9 assists per game this season. Elijah Fisher is averaging 15.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, while Elias Ralph is averaging 15.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game this year. Pacific is shooting 43.7% from the field, 71.7% on free throws, and 30.6% on three pointers this season.

Why San Francisco will beat Pacific

  • San Francisco has won each of its last 19 games at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
  • Pacific has lost 29 of its last 33 games against the West Coast Conference.
  • San Francisco has won the first half in six of its last seven games against Pacific.

San Francisco vs Pacific Prediction

San Francisco comes into this matchup battling with Gonzaga for second in the WCC standings and they will be at home for this game. The Dons do have four conference losses, but they have been pretty solid against these lesser teams. San Francisco is shooting 45.7% from the field this year and they have scored 77+ points in two straight games. Pacific is just 4-11 in conference play this season and they are shooting 43.7% from the field this season. The Tigers are allowing nearly 75 points against per game on defense and they allowed 89 points to San Francisco earlier this year. Take the Dons at home here.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs and Pacific Tigers meet Saturday in college basketball action at the Alex G. Spanos Center. Here’s a Pacific vs Gonzaga Prediction. This article will include a Pacific vs Gonzaga Pick.

Gonzaga Bulldogs Betting Preview

The Gonzaga Bulldogs lost to Saint Mary’s, beat Loyola Marymount, and they play San Francisco, Pepperdine, and Washington State next. The Gonzaga Bulldogs are averaging 87.6 points on 49.7 percent shooting and allowing 70.5 points on 41.6 percent shooting. Graham Ike is averaging 17.2 points and 1.4 assists, while Khalif Battle is averaging 12.7 points and 3.4 rebounds. Ryan Nembhard is the third double-digit scorer and Braden Huff is grabbing 3.7 rebounds. The Gonzaga Bulldogs are shooting 35.2 percent from beyond the arc and 80.1 percent from the free throw line. The Gonzaga Bulldogs are allowing 29.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.5 rebounds per game.

Pacific Tigers Betting Preview

The Pacific Tigers lost to Santa Clara, beat San Diego, and they play Loyola Marymount, Oregon State, and San Francisco next. The Pacific Tigers are averaging 69.7 points on 43.3 percent shooting and allowing 75.2 points on 44.9 percent shooting. Elijah Fisher is averaging 16.2 points and 1.6 assists, while Elias Ralph is averaging 15.7 points and 7.4 rebounds. Lamar Washington is the third double-digit scorer and Petar Krivokapic is grabbing 3.1 rebounds. The Pacific Tigers are shooting 30 percent from beyond the arc and 71.9 percent from the free throw line. The Pacific Tigers are allowing 35.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 31.1 rebounds per game.

Why the Pacific Tigers will win

  • The home team has won each of Pacific’s last four games.
  • The home team has won the first half in seven of Gonzaga’s last eight games.

Why the Gonzaga Bulldogs will win

  • Gonzaga has won each of its last 44 day games against the West Coast Conference.
  • Pacific has lost each of its last 13 Saturday games against the West Coast Conference.
  • Gonzaga has won the first half in each of its last 12 day games against the West Coast Conference.

Pacific vs Gonzaga Injury Report

Pacific doesn’t have a player listed on its injury report. Gonzaga will be without Steele Venters, while Ismaila Diagne and Dusty Stromer are questionable.

Pacific vs Gonzaga Prediction

The Gonzaga Bulldogs obviously have the ability to win in a blowout, but they’re also 9-15 ATS on the season. Gonzaga keeps getting these inflated lines and aren’t cashing tickets. Gonzaga is also 3-9 ATS in its last 12 games as a favorite of 20 or more points. Gonzaga has failed to cover five of its last eight games as a double-digit favorite overall. Pacific is coming off a nice win over Pacific and has seen five of its eight wins come at home. Obviously, Gonzaga wins and should win comfortably. I’m still grabbing the points with Pacific on Saturday night.

The Pacific Tigers and the Washington State Cougars meet Thursday in college basketball action from the Beasley Coliseum. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Washington State vs Pacific Prediction.

Pacific Recap

The Pacific Tigers come into this game looking to bounce back from an 87-70 loss at the hands of Pepperdine in their last matchup to fall to 5-13 on the year. After this matchup, Pacific will head home for a matchup with the Oregon State Beavers.

Tigers Lose 9th Straight

Elias Ralph leads the Tigers in scoring and rebounding with 17.1 PPG and 7.6 RPG while Elijah Fisher has 16.9 PPG with 5.5 RPG. Lamar Washington has 11.2 PPG with 5 RPG along with a team-high 6.2 APG to lead Pacific in the assist department and to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Pacific up to this point in the year. As a team, Pacific is averaging 71.1 PPG on 43.2% shooting from the field, 28.6% from three, and 71.9% from the foul line this season.

Washington State Recap

The Washington State Cougars come into this game looking to add on to a 91-82 win over San Francisco last time out to improve to 13-3 on the year. After this game, Washington State will head on the road to take on Gonzaga.

Cougars Win 4th In A Row

Nate Calmese leads the Cougars in scoring and assists with 16.4 PPG and 4.3 APG along with 3.5 RPG while LeJuan Watts has 13.6 PPG with 8.3 RPG and 3.9 APG to lead the Cougars in the rebounding department so far this season. Dane Erikstrup has 12.6 PPG with 3.9 RPG while Isaiah Watts has 12.5 PPG with 4.8 RPG and Ethan Price has added 11.9 PPG with 5.9 RPG and 2.4 APG as well this season. As a team, Washington State is averaging 81.6 PPG on 49.5% shooting from the field, 36.3% from three-point range, and 71.4% from the foul line this season.

Why the Washington State Cougars will win

  • Pacific has lost each of its last 22 games against the West Coast Conference.
  • Washington State has won 13 of its last 14 games at Beasley Coliseum.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Pacific’s last six road games has produced a total of 147 or fewer points.
  • Seven of Washington State’s last eight night games against Conference opponents have produced a total of 147 or fewer points.

Washington State vs Pacific Prediction

I’m with Washington State here. I get the case to be made for a decent-sized underdog like Pacific, and the Tigers have done a decent job at keeping a lot of their score-lines respectable even in recent losses. However, the Cougars are still the far better team in this matchup from a talent perspective, and even though the Cougars don’t delve too deep into their bench they have a ton of players that can put a hurting on you offensively if you’re not up to the task and I don’t think that Pacific will be here. I think the Cougars pull away in the second half get the win and cover in this one.

The Pacific Tigers and the Saint Mary’s Gaels meet Saturday in college basketball action from the University Credit Union Pavilion. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a St. Mary’s vs Pacific Prediction.

Pacific Recap

The Pacific Tigers come into this game looking to bounce back from a 95-72 loss to Idaho last time out. After this game, Pacific will head on the road to take on San Diego.

Tigers Lose 5th In A Row

Elias Ralph leads the Tigers in scoring and rebounding with 17.3 PPG and 8.1 RPG while Elijah Fisher has 16 PPG with 5.3 RPG. Lamar Washington has 11.4 PPG with 5.1 RPG along with a team-high 6.6 APG to lead Pacific in the assist department and to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Pacific up to this point in the year. As a team, Pacific is averaging 71.6 PPG on 43.2% shooting from the field, 28.6% from three and 72% from the foul line this season.

Why the Pacific Tigers will win

  • Pacific has won three of its last four day games.

Saint Mary’s Recap

The Saint Mary’s Gaels come into this game looking to bounce back from a 75-68 loss to Utah State last time out. After this game, Saint Mary’s will take on Pepperdine at home.

Gaels Looking For Consistency

Augustas Marciulionis leads the Gaels in scoring and assists with 14.6 PPG and 6 APG while Paulius Murauskas has 13.7 PPG and 8.6 RPG to lead the Gaels on the glass this season. d Luke Barrett has 10.5 PPG with 7.2 RPG to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Saint Mary’s up to this point in the year. Mitchell Saxen has 9.8 PPG with 7.4 RPG while Mikey Lewis has 9.3 PPG as well on the year. As a team, Saint Mary’s is averaging 75.3 PPG on 45.5% shooting from the field, 32.7% from three and 67.4% from the foul line this season.

Why the Saint Mary’s Gaels will win

  • Pacific has lost each of its last 18 games against the West Coast Conference.
  • Saint Mary’s has won 24 of its last 25 games against the West Coast Conference at University Credit Union Pavilion.

St. Mary’s vs Pacific Prediction

I’m on Saint Mary’s here. The Gaels have been one of the best in the WCC in recent years, while Pacific normally finds themselves at the bottom or near the bottom of the conference and it’s played out that way between these two, with Saint Mary’s winning the last three meetings in convincing fashion. This may not be the most potent Gaels lineup ever, but the Gaels have it in the tank to get a strong win and cover at home here. Give me the Gaels.

The Pacific Tigers and UNLV Rebels meet Saturday in college basketball action at the McAlister Field House. Here’s a UNLV vs Pacific Prediction. This article will include a UNLV vs Pacific Pick.

Pacific Tigers Betting Preview

The Pacific Tigers lost to Colorado and Illinois State, and they play Portland State, Idaho and Saint Mary’s next. The Pacific Tigers are averaging 72 points on 44.3 percent shooting and allowing 69.5 points on 40.7 percent shooting. Elias Ralph is averaging 17.3 points and 2.3 assists, while Elijah Fisher is averaging 16.8 points and 5.2 rebounds. Lamar Washington is the third double-digit scorer and Jefferson Koulibaly is grabbing 2.2 rebounds. The Pacific Tigers are shooting 28.8 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free throw line. The Pacific Tigers are allowing 29.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 36.3 rebounds per game.

UNLV Rebels Betting Preview

The UNLV Rebels lost to Northwestern and Creighton, and they play Dayton, UC Riverside and Fresno State next. The UNLV Rebels are averaging 73 points on 44.5 percent shooting and allowing 72.8 points on 44.5 percent shooting. Dedan Thomas is averaging 16.8 points and 1.9 rebounds, while Jeremiah Cherry is averaging 11.8 points and 0.8 assists. Jailen Bedford is the third double-digit scorer and Julian Rishwain is grabbing 3 rebounds. The UNLV Rebels are shooting 37.2 percent from beyond the arc and 73.3 percent from the free throw line. The UNLV Rebels are allowing 38.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 29.8 rebounds per game.

Why the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels will win

  • Pacific has lost each of its last eight road night games against non-Conference opponents.
  • The home team has won each of Pacific’s last six games.
  • Pacific has lost the first half in each of its last six road night games against the Mountain West Conference.

UNLV vs Pacific Prediction

The UNLV Rebels are obviously the more talented team and could blow the doors off, but they’ve also had issues defensively this season and are 1-6-1 ATS on the year. UNLV has failed to cover each of its last four games and the offense has taken a turn in the wrong direction as well with the competition improving. This could also be a look ahead spot with Dayton on deck. The Pacific Tigers compete defensively. Give me the points.

In this article, we will formulate a Colorado vs Pacific prediction for this College Basketball game on Monday, December 2nd at the CU Events Center in Boulder, Colorado. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview

The Colorado Buffaloes are 5-2 this year after they lost to Iowa State by a score of 99-71 in their last game. Colorado trailed 45-34 at halftime and allowed 54 points in the second half in the loss. The Buffaloes shot 41.8% from the field, 42.1% on three-pointers, and 94.4% on free throws in the game. Julian Hammond III led Colorado with 20 points and three assists in the game.

Prior to that loss, the Buffaloes defeated UConn by a score of 73-72 but did lose to MSU by a score of 72-56 before that. Colorado has scored 76.7 points per game and they have allowed 72.3 points per game, while also averaging 36.1 rebounds and 15.4 assists per game this season. Andrej Jakimovski is averaging 13.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game, while Colorado is shooting 47.1% from the field, 75.5% on free throws, and 39.7% on three-pointers this year.

Pacific Tigers Betting Preview

The Pacific Tigers are 5-4 this season after they defeated Cal State Fullerton by a score of 64-55 in their last game. Pacific led 29-23 at the half and scored 35 points in the second half in the win. The Tigers shot 45.7% from the field, 26.3% on three-pointers, and 70.8% on free throws in the game. Lamar Washington led Pacific with 17 points and seven assists in the win.

Prior to that game, the Tigers defeated Arkansas Pine-Bluff by a score of 83-71 but did lose the four games before that. Pacific has scored 73.8 points per game and they have allowed 68.6 points per game, while also averaging 40.6 rebounds and 16.2 assists per game this season. Elijah Fisher is averaging 17.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, while Pacific is shooting 45.8% from the field, 68.6% on free throws, and 28.7% on three-pointers this year.

Why Colorado will beat Pacific

  • Colorado has won each of its last 20 games at CU Events Center against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Pacific has lost each of its last six road night games against non-conference opponents.
  • Colorado has won the first half in 21 of its last 23 games against non-conference opponents at CU Events Center.

Total Points Facts

  • Six of Colorado’s last seven night games have produced a total of 143 or fewer points.
  • Eight of Pacific’s last 10 night games have produced a total of 147+ points.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Colorado ranks 21st among Division 1 teams for three-point percentage this season (39.7%).
  • Colorado ranks T47th among Division 1 teams for free throws made per game this season (17.6).
  • Pacific ranks T3rd among Division 1 teams for opponent blocks per game this season (1.4).
  • Pacific ranks 30th among Division 1 teams for opponent three-point percentage this season (27.0%).

Colorado vs Pacific Prediction

Colorado comes into this game after battling in the Maui Tournament, where they went 1-2. The Buffaloes knocked off UConn while on the big island, but they did lose to Iowa State and Michigan State. Pacific has won their last two games in a row, but they lost by 35 points against Missouri and 19 points against Arkansas before that. This should be a great spot for Colorado to bounce back, as the step down in competition should be welcomed. Take the Buffaloes here.

The Pacific Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks meet Monday in college basketball action from Bud Walton Arena. Here’s an Arkansas vs Pacific prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Arkansas vs Pacific pick.

Pacific Tigers Betting Preview

The Tigers have been busy so far this year, with a whopping five games in the books already. Pacific took wins in their first trio, taking out Jessup, San Jose State, and Life Pacific in that time. Since then it’s been losses to Hawaii, and Northern Arizona.

In Thursday’s game versus Northern Arizona, the Tigers took a 30-24 deficit into the second half. Pacific got better from there but still lost a tough one 60-57. Elias Ralph led the team on a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Pacific will take on Missouri, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and CS Fullerton after this game.

Arkansas Razorbacks Betting Preview

Over on the Arkansas side, they got past Lipscomb pretty easily in their opener this year. The Razorbacks ran into a tough Baylor team on the road in game two however, and lost 72-67. Game three was a sizable win over Troy, though.

In the Trojans matchup on Wednesday, the Razorbacks were in trouble at halftime with a 27-26 deficit. Arkansas woke up in the second half, however, notching 39 more points in a 65-49 win. Adou Thiero (seven rebounds) and Boogie Fland (seven assists) each had 19 points.

Why the Arkansas Razorbacks will win

  • Arkansas has won 44 of its last 45 games against non-conference opponents at Bud Walton Arena.
  • Pacific has lost 18 of its last 19 night games.
  • Arkansas has won the first half in 45 of its last 52 games against non-conference opponents at Bud Walton Arena.

Why the Pacific Tigers will win

  • Arkansas has lost each of its last four games at Bud Walton Arena following a home win.
  • Pacific has won the first half in five of its last six games against non-conference opponents.

Arkansas vs Pacific Prediction

I’ll probably just stay with Arkansas. I’d like to see a much better start than the Razorbacks produced versus Troy, though. In that one, Arkansas ended up shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 43.5 percent (10-of-23) from outside. That said, the Razorbacks were outmuscled on the boards 37-30 (13-9 offensive) and had 14 turnovers. It wasn’t a great effort overall, but the W still came.

As for Pacific, they’re going to have their hands full in this one. The Tigers have scored a combined 123 points over their last two outings and I don’t see them cracking 70 here unless it’s a one-sided Razorbacks blowout from the beginning. That said, all the pressure is on Arkansas here.

The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks and Pacific Tigers meet Thursday in college basketball action at the Alex G. Spanos Center. Here’s a Pacific vs Northern Arizona Prediction. This article will include a Pacific vs Northern Arizona Pick.

Northern Arizona Lumberjacks Betting Preview

The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks lost to Stanford, and they play Incarnate Word and Eastern Michigan next. The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks are averaging 93 points on 52.5 percent shooting and allowing 69 points on 41 percent shooting. Trent McLaughlin is averaging 25.7 points and 2.3 assists, while Carson Towt is averaging 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds. Oakland Fort is the third double-digit scorer and Ryan Abelman is dishing 1 assist. The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks are shooting 7.1 percent from beyond the arc and 75.9 percent from the free throw line. The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks are allowing 34.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39.3 rebounds per game.

Pacific Tigers Betting Preview

The Pacific Tigers beat San Jose State, lost to Hawaii, and they play Arkansas and Missouri next. The Pacific Tigers are averaging 83 points on 50.2 percent shooting and allowing 62.3 points on 34.3 percent shooting. Elias Ralph is averaging 17.8 points and 0.5 assists, while Elijah Fisher is averaging 17.5 points and 4.5 rebounds. Lamar Washington is dishing 9.3 assists and Jazz Gardner is grabbing 6.5 rebounds. The Pacific Tigers are shooting 28.8 percent from beyond the arc and 66.3 percent from the free throw line. The Pacific Tigers are allowing 18.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 40.5 rebounds per game.

Why the Pacific Tigers will win

  • Pacific has won each of its last nine Thursday night home games against non-conference opponents.
  • Northern Arizona has lost 11 of its last 12 road games against the West Coast Conference.
  • Northern Arizona has lost the first half in eight of its last nine road night games against the West Coast Conference.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Northern Arizona’s last 12 night games against the West Coast Conference has produced a total of 146 or fewer points.
  • Fourteen of Pacific’s last 15 games against non-conference opponents have produced a total of 149 or fewer points.

Pacific vs Northern Arizona Prediction

I’m not running to the window to back either Northern Arizona or Pacific, two below-average teams that don’t cover numbers dating back to last season. With that said, Pacific is off to a decent start offensively and had its chances to beat Hawaii on the road a few days ago. Pacific also has more scoring options and is at home. The line is somewhat reasonable. Give me the Pacific Tigers.

The Pacific Tigers and Pepperdine Waves face off on Thursday in a college basketball showdown in the WCC Tournament at Orleans Arena. When these two teams faced off on February 21st it was Pepperdine that secured the 89-70 victory.

Pacific Has Some Issues

Pacific is having some issues heading into this game and coming into this game they have lost 15 games in a row. In the last game against San Diego, Pacific scored 69 points and they ended up losing by 12 points. Two games ago against Loyola Marymount, Pacific scored 63 points and they ended up losing by 23 points. Pacific is averaging 65.4 points while their defense is giving up 79.1 points per game. Donovan Williams is averaging 9.9 points while shooting 35.1 percent from the field and 23.2 percent from behind the three point line.

Pepperdine Has Lost Two Games in a Row

Pepperdine has lost two games in a row and the defense has been an issue. Two games ago against San Francisco, Pepperdine gave up 92 points and in the last game against St Mary’s they gave up 83 points. Pepperdine is averaging 72.5 points while their defense is giving up 75.6 points per game. The defense has been awful this season, and they are going to need the defense to be better here. Michael Ajayi is averaging 17.2 points while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 48.1 percent from behind the three point line.

Pacific vs Pepperdine Betting Prediction

Pacific is averaging 65.4 points per game and they are going to really struggle in this game. Pepperdine is averaging 72.5 points and they are going to have no issue running up the score against the Pacific defense. Pacific is giving up 79.1 points and they are going have no issue running up the score. Pepperdine is going to run up the score and they are going to cover the spread here. Back Pepperdine against the spread here.

The Pacific Tigers and the Gonzaga Bulldogs meet in college basketball action from the McCarthey Athletic Center on Saturday night. Can Pacific pull off the massive upset? Or will Gonzaga defend home court? Let’s dive in and find out with our Pacific vs. Gonzaga Prediction.

Pacific Team Preview

The Pacific Tigers come into this one looking to snap a 12-game losing streak after a 79-53 loss to Santa Clara last time out. Judson Martindale leads Pacific with 9.7 PPG while Donovan Williams has 9.5 PPG with 4.6 RPG while Moe Odum has 8.9 PPG with 2.7 RPG and a team-high 4.8 APG to lead Pacific in the assist department this season. Cam Denson also has 8.4 PPG with a team-high 4.8 RPG to lead the Tigers on the glass this season. As a team, Pacific is averaging 64.8 PPG on 41.7% shooting from the field, 32% from three and 63.4% from the foul line this season.

Gonzaga Team Preview

The Gonzaga Bulldogs come into this game looking to add to their three-game win streak after a 91-74 win over Loyola Marymount last time out. Graham Ike leads the Zags in scoring with 15.6 PPG and 7 RPG while Anton Watson is right behind with 14.8 PPG and a team-high 7.7 RPG to lead the Zags on the glass. Nolan Hickman has 13.5 PPG with 2.4 APG and Braden Huff has 10.5 PPG while Ryan Nembhard has 12.3 PPG with 3.7 RPG and a team-high 6.1 APG to lead the Zags in assists while rounding out the group of double-digit scorers for Gonzaga so far this season. As a team, Gonzaga is averaging 85.2 PPG on 50.9% shooting from the field, 34.1% from three and 70.7% from the foul line this season.

Pacific vs. Gonzaga Prediction

I’m on Gonzaga here. The Bulldogs at times have been guilty of playing with their food against the lesser teams they’ve been up against, including a 9-point win over Pacific in the first meeting as 27-point favorites, but Gonzaga should be focused here on the task at hand. Pacific’s been getting creamed left and right this season and this game should be no different if Gonzaga plays to their potential. Give me Gonzaga big here.

The Saint Mary’s Gaels and the Pacific Tigers meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Alex G. Spanos Center. Saint Mary’s is 18-6 so far this year and fresh off a big win at Gonzaga. As for Pacific, they’re 6-18 overall and coming off a loss to San Francisco. Let’s get into our Saint Mary’s vs. Pacific prediction. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Saint Mary’s Gaels

The Gaels managed an 8-6 run over their first 14 games, losing to Weber State, San Diego State, Xavier, Utah, Boise State and Missouri State. It’s been wins over Kent State, San Diego, LMU, Portland, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Pacific, LMU again, Santa Clara again and Gonzaga since then.

On Saturday versus Gonzaga, the Gaels were behind by one point coming out of the break. Saint Mary’s outscored the Bulldogs 31-28 the rest of the way and secured the 64-62 victory. Aidan Maheny led the team on his 20 options, while Joshua Jefferson doubled on 16 points and 11 boards.

Pacific Tigers

Over on the Pacific side, they opened the year on a rough 6-9 stretch, getting their latest win way back on December 30. The Tigers have lost to San Francisco, Portland, Pepperdine, LMU, Santa Clara, Saint Mary’s, Gonzaga, Portland and San Francisco in succession since then.

In the rematch versus San Francisco over the weekend, the Tigers were down by five points at halftime. Pacific got a little better from there on a 45-44 deficit but still lost 79-73. Cam Denson was the team’s leading scorer with 22 points, four rebounds, one assist and one block.

ANDREW’S FREE SAINT MARY’S VS PACIFIC PREDICTION

I’ll stay with Saint Mary’s. The Gaels played a great game versus Gonzaga in their last matchup and took the improbable road win against a tough opponent. Saint Mary’s was out-rebounded 36-30 in that one but also held the Bulldogs to just 3-of-14 (21.4 percent) from 3-point range. The Gaels have held opponents below 66 points in seven of their last eight outings.

That’s bad news for the Tigers, who lost 76-28 at University Credit Union Pavilion when these teams last met back on January 25. Pacific shot a miserable 20 percent from the field in that one and lost the rebounding battle 48-21. Though I don’t think this rematch will be quite so dramatic, I’m still leaning toward Saint Mary’s.

Or will Saint Mary’s stifling defense claim another victim? Let’s dive in and find out with our Pacific vs. Saint Mary’s Prediction.

Pacific Team Preview

The Pacific Tigers come into this one looking to snap a five-game losing skid after an 88-69 loss to Santa Clara last time out. Judson Martindale leads Pacific with 10.4 PPG while Nick Blake has 10 PPG in 9 games so far this season as the only other double-digit scorer for Pacific so far this year. Donovan Williams has 9.2 PPG with 4.7 RPG while Moe Odum has 9.2 PPG with 2.9 RPG and a team-high 4.8 APG to lead Pacific in the assist department this season. Cam Denson also has 8.4 PPG with a team-high 4.8 RPG to lead the Tigers on the glass this season. As a team, Pacific is averaging 66.8 PPG on 42.6% shooting from the field, 31.4% from three and 62.6% from the foul line this season.

Saint Mary’s Team Preview

The Saint Mary’s Gaels come into this one looking to add to their current six-game win streak after a 77-60 win over San Francisco last time out. Aidan Mahaney leads the Gaels in scoring with 14.7 PPG with 2.9 APG and Mitchell Saxen has 11.4 PPG with a team-high 7.8 RPG to lead the Gaels on the glass this season. Augustas Marciulionis has 11 PPG with a team-high 4.6 APG to lead the Gaels in assists so far this year while rounding out the trio of double-digit scorers for the Gaels and Joshua Jefferson has 9.9 PPG with 6.9 RPG as well this year. As a team, Saint Mary’s is averaging 72.5 PPG on 45.1% shooting from the field, 32.1% from three and 68.1% from the foul line this season.

Pacific vs. Saint Mary’s Prediction

I’m on Saint Mary’s here. I just think that while this is a big number, Saint Mary’s has shown that even at their snail’s pace and with their tough defense, they can still blow teams out of the water. We’ve already seen Pacific dismantled by less this season and I think this game ends up being no different. Give me the Gaels in a rout.

The Pacific Tigers and the San Francisco Dons meet Friday in West Coast Tournament college basketball action from Orleans Arena. Pacific is 15-17 overall this season. The Tigers beat Pepperdine in their tournament game Thursday. As for San Francisco, they’re sitting at 18-13 after a loss to BYU back on Saturday. Pacific Tigers

The Tigers went .500 through 24 games this year, coming up with a 12-12 record to start. Pacific went a sketchy 2-5 to finish off the regular season, listing to BYU, Portland, San Francisco, LMU and St. Mary’s with wins over San Diego and Portland otherwise.

In the Thursday West Coast Tournament matchup versus Pepperdine, the Tigers carved out a 44-31 halftime edge. Pacific got through the second half with a 40-40 run and took the victory 84-71 to move on. Keylan Boone led the team with his 25 points and five rebounds.

San Francisco Dons

Over on the San Francisco side, they put up a 15-9 run through their first 24 outings of the year. The Dons have since gone a sketchy 3-4 with losses to St. Mary’s, Santa Clara, Gonzaga and BYU alongside wins over Pepperdine, Pacific and Portland.

Back on Saturday versus BYU, San Francisco went into the break with a 40-27 deficit. The Dons fell further behind on a 47-34 run from there and fell in a blowout 87-61. Khalil Shabazz was the only team double-digit scorer on 21 points.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably stay with San Francisco here. The Dons had a three-game win streak going before the BYU loss, scoring 76 or more points in each of those outings. It’s been a full week since San Francisco has been on the court, so a good start in this tournament matchup will go a long way. The Dons won both meetings between these teams: 78-57 at home on January 19 and 76-68 at Alex G. Spanos Center on February 16. Pacific has scored well all year, so it’s going to take a solid offensive effort to power out the cover in this one. I think the Dons will get it done in a competitive matchup.

The Pepperdine Waves and the Pacific Tigers meet Thursday in West Coast Tournament college basketball action from Orleans Arena. Pepperdine comes into this one at 9-21 overall. The Waves lost to LMU on Saturday in their last outing. As for Pacific, they’re 14-17 on the year after a win over Portland over the weekend. Pepperdine Waves

Pepperdine managed a 7-16 record over their first 23 outings this year. the Waves are just 2-5 in their last seven games, taking losses to Pacific, San Francisco, Gonzaga, Santa Clara and LMU with wins over Portland and BYU otherwise in that stretch.

Back on Saturday versus LMU, Pepperdine went into the break with a 28-25 edge. The Waves were outscored 50-39 from there however and lost 75-67. Jan Zidek led the team on 22 points with five rebounds in the defeat.

Pacific Tigers

Over on the Pacific side, they hit a .500 clip for most of the year, going 12-12 over their first 24 games. In their last seven the Tigers are just 2-5 however, falling to BYU, Portland, San Francisco, LMU and St. Mary’s during that run.

Pacific played Portland on Saturday, holding a 38-37 edge in the locker room. The Tigers managed a 43-40 advantage in the second half and won the game 81-77. Both Luke Avdalovic and Cam Denson put up 12 points apiece to lead the way.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to stick with Pacific. The Tigers posted a solid all-around win over a comparable Portland team on Saturday, with six different players scoring in double-figures. The victory halted a three-game losing streak for the Tigers, but they’d still been scoring well. Pacific has hit 68 or more points in six straight games. These teams have met twice already this year. Pacific took both games: 80-75 at Firestone Fieldhouse on January 7, and 81-73 at Alex G. Spanos Center back on February 2. The Tigers should have the advantage in this one as well, and if they play to their capabilities I like Pacific to power out the cover/win.

In that matchup the Pilots lost in a close outcome. As for Pacific, they played Saint Mary’s in their Thursday outing. The Tigers would go on to fall in a blowout. Portland Pilots

Portland managed a .500 run over their first 20 games with an 11-11 record. The Pilots put up a rough 2-5 stretch in the next seven outings, losing to LMU, Gonzaga, Pepperdine, Saint Mary’s and Santa Clara along the way.

On Thursday versus San Francisco, Portland was down 56-53 going into the second half. The Pilots kept the pace on 36 points from there but ended up losing 92-89. Moses Wood scored 28 points with nine rebounds and Tyler Robertson added 22 points in the defeat.

Pacific Tigers

Over on the Pacific side, they didn’t quite hit .500 to start the year, going 10-12 overall. The Tigers managed a 3-4 run in the next seven with losses to BYU, Portland, San Francisco and LMU alongside wins versus Santa Clara, Pepperdine and San Diego.

Matched up against Saint Mary’s on Thursday, the Tigers were down by 17 points going into the second. Pacific was drilled 35-21 from there and lost big 83-52. Jordan Ivy-Curry was the only double-digit team scorer on 11 points.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to take a stab on Portland here. The Pilots are sitting on a three-game losing streak, but they’ve been fairly competitive in comparable matchups lately. Portland has been scoring well with 80 or more points in five of their last six games. As for Pacific, they lost 81-73 the last time these teams met up back on February 9 at Chiles Center. I like this one to be a pretty close outcome, so you could probably make a case for the Tigers. It’ll be a fun game to watch.

Pacific Tigers

Pacific had an up-and-down start to the season with a 10-12 record across 22 games. The Tigers are just 3-4 in their last seven outings with losses to BYU, Portland, San Francisco and LMU alongside wins over Santa Clara, Pepperdine and San Diego.

In the LMU matchup on Saturday, the Tigers went into the break with a 47-43 edge. Pacific couldn’t hold it in the second though, giving up 47 points in a 90-88 loss. Judson Martindale was the leading team scorer on 19 points.

Saint Mary’s Gaels

Over on the Saint Mary’s side, they are a nice 18-4 over their first 22 games this year. The Gaels are 6-1 in their last seven outings with wins over BYU, San Francisco, Gonzaga, Portland, San Diego and BYU. The lone loss came versus LMU.

Matched up against BYU over the weekend, the Gaels went into the locker room with a 33-27 lead. Saint Mary’s kept the pace on another 38 second-half points and won 71-65. Logan Johnson put up 27 points with seven rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll take a stab on Pacific in this one. The Tigers are a rough 3-4 over the last seven outings, however they’ve generally been competitive and they’re scoring well. Pacific has hit 68 or more points in seven of their last eight games. As for Saint Mary’s, it’s been a nice 15-1 run over their last 16 outings. The Gaels should be nice and comfortable in another home game here, but if Pacific plays well I think they’ll be able to power out a cover.

The Pacific Tigers and Loyola Marymount Lions meet Saturday in college basketball action at the Gersten Pavilion. Let’s preview this game and give out a pick and prediction.

The Pacific Tigers Betting Preview

The Pacific Tigers are averaging 76.2 points on 45 percent shooting and allowing 77.3 points on 46.7 percent shooting. Keylan Boone is averaging 14 points and 0.8 assists, while Jordan Ivy-Curry is averaging 10.2 points and 2.7 rebounds. The Pacific Tigers are allowing 35 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 28.4 rebounds per game.

The Loyola Marymount Lions Betting Preview

The Loyola Marymount Lions are averaging 75.3 points on 45.5 percent shooting and allowing 72.8 points on 45.1 percent shooting. Cam Shelton is averaging 20.2 points and 5.5 rebounds, while Keli Leaupepe is averaging 13.5 points and 6.9 rebounds. Jalin Anderson is the third double-digit scorer and Alex Merkviladze is grabbing 4 rebounds. The Loyola Marymount Lions are shooting 36.2 percent from beyond the arc and 67.9 percent from the free throw line. The Loyola Marymount Lions are allowing 31.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 33.4 rebounds per game.

The Tigers are 8-19-1 ATS in their last 28 road games and 17-36-1 ATS in their last 54 games overall. The Lions are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 home games. The under is 4-1 in Tigers last 5 overall. The over is 4-1-1 in Lions last 6 overall. The favorite is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

Randy’s Free Pick

The Loyola Marymount Lions are the better team and should be favored at home, but this is a lot of points for two teams that aren’t playing well right now. Loyola Marymount is losing its last 5 games by an average of 15.4 points and isn’t playing a lick of defense. The Pacific Tigers lose on the road by an average of just 0.5 points. Give me Pacific and the free buckets.

The Dons took out Pepperdine in their last game. As for Pacific, they’re currently 13-14 after a win over San Diego this past weekend. San Francisco Dons

San Francisco began their year on a 12-8 run across their first 20 games. The Dons are 4-4 since then. The wins in that time were over Pacific, BYU, San Diego and Pepperdine. The losses came to Saint Mary’s (twice), Santa Clara and Gonzaga.

On Saturday versus Pepperdine, the Dons were down 46-39 going into the second half. San Francisco powered out a 49-34 run from there and won it 88-80. Tyrell Roberts was the top team scorer with 32 points.

Pacific Tigers

Over on the Pacific side, they opened the year on a .500 run at 10-10 through 20 games. The Tigers have since gone 3-4 with losses to San Francisco, Gonzaga, BYU and Portland alongside wins over Santa Clara, Pepperdine and San Diego.

In the Saturday matchup versus San Diego, Pacific jumped out to a 52-42 edge by halftime. The Tigers had to scramble on a five-point second-half deficit but still won 99-94. Keylan Boone scored 30 points and Jordan Ivy Curry added 25 in the victory.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll take a stab on Pacific here. The Tigers haven’t been the most reliable team in the world lately, but they’re still scoring pretty well and staying competitive. Pacific has hit 73 or more points in five of their last six games and they’ve won consecutive home matchups. The last time these teams saw each other was back on January 19 at War Memorial Gym. The Tigers were drilled 78-57 in that one thanks to a 41-22 first half. I like Pacific to play better at home this time and power out the cover (and maybe the win) with a much-improved offensive performance.

The Pacific Tigers and the Portland Pilots meet Thursday in college basketball action from Chiles Center. Pacific is 12-13 overall this year. The Tigers lost to BYU in their last game. Pacific Tigers

The Tigers struggled over their first 16 games this year, going just 7-9 overall. Pacific has posted a 5-4 record since then, beating LMU, San DIego, Pepperdine, Santa Clara and Pepperdine again during that time.

On Saturday versus BYU, Pacific took a 41-30 deficit into the locker room. The Tigers were outscored 40-36 from there and lost 81-66. Tops in scoring was Jordan Ivy-Curry, doubling up on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Portland Pilots

Over on the Portland side, they went just 8-10 over their first 18 outings this season. The Pilots are on a 4-4 stretch in the last eight, with wins over San Francisco, San Diego, Pepperdine and San Diego again in that stretch.

Matched up against Pepperdine on Saturday, the Pilots scored 35 points in both the first and second halves, 12 points in the first overtime and 11 in the second OT for a 94-93 loss. Tyler Robertson put up 35 points with 14 rebounds to lead the way.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably stay with Portland. This one could probably go either way, though; it’ll be a competitive game if both teams play well. In any case, the Pilots scored pretty well in their near-miss road loss to Pepperdine on Saturday. Portland has lost three of their last four, though they’ve played a couple of tricky teams in that time. As for Pacific, they’ve hit 81 or more points in three of the last four and should post a pretty nice total here. Portland is going to have to hit the offensive gas, but I think they can keep the cover pace if the Pilots are playing to their capabilities.

For Pacific, Greg Outlaw is questionable for this game with an undisclosed injury, while BYU has Hao Dong out until mid February with an ankle injury and Trevin Knell is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

BYU is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 home games against a team with a road winning percentage above .600 while the under is 6-2 in their last 8 home games against a team with a road winning percentage above .600.

Trends

Pacific is 7-22-1 ATS in their last 30 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 games overall. BYU is

Pick

I’m backing the over in this game. This is simply a case of a lack of defense being played on both sides here, as I honestly think defense will be optional in this game. Pacific isn’t a world-beater but they’ve been scoring points against some of the better teams in the WCC and BYU is always a threat to score well into the 70s so give me the over here.
