I’m leaning towards Rutgers and the points here. Rutgers can be a tough team at the Jersey Mike’s Arena, and Illinois has shown signs of vulnerability in some of their recent games. I also think that the Illini were slightly lucky to pull away from Ohio State the way that they did as Ohio State was leading with less than 8 minutes to go before Illinois flipped the switch. I think that Rutgers may end up being a two-man show with Harper and Bailey, but this Rutgers team has been able to keep themselves in a lot of games that maybe you wouldn’t expect them to be able to keep close. I’ll take a shot on Rutgers with the points in this one.

Northwestern usually plays their best basketball at home and Chris Collins has a way of bringing the best out of this Wildcat crowd at home I trust Northwestern’s defense to show up at home in this game on the way to a Northwestern win and cover when all is said and done so I’ll lay the points with the Wildcats in this one.

Wisconsin’s passed a lot of tests with flying colors including a dominant showing over USC last time out, and the Badgers also got to stay on the West Coast as opposed to dealing with the brutal travel schedules that a lot of teams face with the addition of USC, UCLA, and Washington to the Big Ten. I think that We’re getting points with the better team here so I’ll gladly take them with Wisconsin in this one.

The Huskies were able to keep Illinois within arms’ reach because the Illini shoot a lot of threes and one strength of Washington’s defense is defending the perimeter. However, that is the opposite of what Michigan State likes to do, as they like to get inside and score inside as well as draw fouls and get to the line, which Washington also does a lot of as well. I think this is one of those games that just sees the margin get wider and wider and all of a sudden Michigan State’s winning and covering in a runaway so I’ll lay the points with the Spartans here.

The guard tandem of Loyer and Smith could be one of the best backcourt duos in the country, and Northwestern just doesn’t have what it takes to hold Purdue down for a full 40 minutes on the road. Northwestern’s been covering their fair share of games like no one’s business, but I think that in the end, Purdue does enough to get themselves the win and cover at home in this one. I’m leaning towards Oregon here. The Badgers just haven’t been able to cut it and I don’t think this game is going to end up any different. Give me the Ducks.
